The term pro bono is short for the Latin “pro bono publico,” which means “for the public good.” The term generally refers to free services that a professional provides to poverty-stricken clients, non-profit groups or charitable organizations

Coexist Universalism is the belief that any and all religions or spiritual philosophies lead to “God,” and everyone will be saved in the end regardless of what is practiced. Religion is the godless spiritual ideology of unregenerate (fallen) man.

BONO SPLIT PERSONALITY – ”The mask reveals the man”

Bono / MacPhisto = Bono imagined the Devil…Sons of Cain

Bono regularly dressed up as the devil, singing songs of romantic-religious anguish in costume

For the European leg of U2’s ZooTV tour during the early ’90s, Bono built on Bowie’s over-the-top rock-star creation with his take on the devil MacPhisto. Seeking to distance himself from the almost earnest morality of the band’s Joshua Tree era, Bono imagined the devil as an aging glam rocker who had long ago sold his soul, complete with gold suit, white pancake makeup and horns. MacPhisto performed as part of each set, waxing poetic about politics and morality.

For decades, Bono has been playing the Devil’s advocate personifying such characters on stage as Mirrorball Man, the Fly and MacPhisto, all of which are depictions of the devil. For instance, Bono tells about walking through the Vatican dressed up as the devil. He says: “Macphisto walking through the Vatican. That was great. I really enjoyed that. Walking through the Vatican with my stick thinking, ‘One day this could all be mine’”

”…Jesus, “We used to be so close.”

As Mr. MacPhisto, a cross between Elvis and a cartoonish devil caricature, Bono speaks in the first-person as Satan. The crowd cheers for Bono as he says in reference to Jesus, “We used to be so close.” He continues, “People think I’ve forgotten about Him but I haven’t. I used to find Him so inspiring back then. He invented me. I was His most magnificent creation, the brightest star in His sky. Now look at me, a tired old pop-star in platform shoes.” Bono then asks, “Who can I get to help me make peace with him? Who will mediate for me? Shall I call the United Nations?” Bono proceeds to call the United Nations on stage as the crowd cheers for his devilish performance (online source).

Have you been fooled by this rocker, who talks about his love for Jesus, but in reality shows his love for Satan during his performances?.

Have you been fooled by this rocker, who talks about his love for Jesus, but in reality shows his love for Satan during his performances? He has an alter ego named “MacPhisto.” Did you know that MacPhisto is in The Screw Tape Letters, by C.S. Lewis. The book’s characters are demons, and MacPhisto is a demon who works hard at communicating with baby Christians to get them away from God!

Dressing up as the devil is great. I enjoyed every minute of it…Bono

”four men chopping down the Joshua Tree”

After the enormous success of their two previous records, The Joshua Tree and Rattle and Hum, U2 became conflicted about which direction to take their sound for their next album—the album that eventually became Achtung, Baby! The guys were growing frustrated and stagnant, and felt they needed some kind of dramatic change. In fact, Bono has said in interviews that Achtung Baby! is the “sound of four men chopping down the Joshua Tree.

The vibe in West Germany also contributed to the genesis of Achtung, Baby! East Germany had been suffering a “brain drain” as more and more educated and artistic people fled to West Germany to escape the communist influence. U2 found that the bohemian climate of artists, writers, thinkers, musicians—straight, gay, and everything in between—inspired the band to bring a more eclectic mix of sounds and instruments into the recording sessions…Shmoop

”I want to run – I want to hide
I want to tear down the walls that hold me inside
I want to reach out and touch the flame

The”cutting down the Joshua Tree” Exposed

U2 refers to ”cutting down the Joshua Tree” is as to ”cutting down Jesus The Christ”, the tree is THE TREE OF LIFE. Now the serpent/SATAN was more cunning than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made

Note that Joshua = Yoshua or Yahushua because there is no “J” sound in Hebrew. The “J” with its “J” sound didn’t come into the English language until about 500 years ago. In fact, the “J” isn’t even found in the original 1611 King James version. Proof. Joshua is Yoshua and Jesus is Yahushua in Hebrew

The Tree of Life

“What is the meaning of the tree of life?”

Answer: The tree of life, referred to in Genesis, is the symbol of God’s provision for immortality in the Garden of Eden. Of all the trees that were in the Garden of Eden, two were named for their great importance, but just as one—the tree of life—was a blessing to Adam and Eve, the other was to become a curse for all of their posterity. “And the Lord God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground – trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil” (Genesis 2:9).

The wonderful Tree of Life, discussed in the two “book ends” of the Bible, Genesis and Revelation, is one of the most fascinating subjects in all the inspired word of God. It is first mentioned in Genesis 2:9:

And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

The fruit of this tree was “good for food” and Adam was told that he could “freely eat” of it (Genesis 2:16).

However, he was not required to eat its fruit to stay alive! He was created by God to live without dying, with only one restriction—that is, he was NOT to eat of “the tree of knowledge of good and evil,” for that would cause him to die (Genesis 2:17).

Alford’s Greek New Testament, An Exegetical and Critical Commentary:

“Jesus — The same name as Joshua, the deliverer of Israel.”

“Jesus Christ —- The name Jesus means Savior, and was a common name, derived from the ancient Hebrew Jehoshua/Joshua.”Smith’s Bible Dictionary:

A dictionary of the Bible, by James Hastings

“Jesus — The Greek form of the name Joshua or Jeshua. Jeshua —- Yahweh is Salvation or Yahweh is opulence.”

The Joshua Tree in Bible

22 So Moses brought Israel from the Red sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water.

23 And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah.

24 And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink?

”…Lord shewed him a tree…”

25 And he cried unto the Lord; and the Lord shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them,

26 And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee.

At this point you should know that the Messiah had the same name as Joshua the successor of Moses. Joshua is called Jesus in the Greek New Testament of Acts 7:45 and Hebrews 4:8. Which shows that our Saviour’s name was closer to Joshua than Jesus since He was not just a Jew, but “King of the Jews” Mt. 2:2 & Jn. 19:19, thus we understand that Gabriel never delivered a Greek name to a Hebrew or Jewish baby! However Joshua is also called Jehoshua in Num. 13:16 & I Chr. 7:27

And He shall be like a tree.” see Psalm 1:2, 3. This TREE that healed the waters is a fit emblem of Jehoshua /Joshua/Jesus/YAHUSHUA who was cut down like this tree and cast into the waters, which represents “multitudes, nations, and people” (Revelation 17:15). Which need healing!

Waters in Hebrew represents nations

All have sinned in breaking the law (commandments, instructions, law & statutes in the bible/Torah). Sin is a disease that people need to be healed of! “With His stripes we are healed.” Isa. 53:5

Star is called Wormwood

In the C.S. Lewis’ twisted novel The Screwtape Letters, which tells of a chief demon by the name of Screwtape instructing a younger demon, Wormwood, how to distract and tempt the human that has been assigned to him by, for example, twisting the truth in almost imperceptible ways

The opposite seems to happen in the book of Revelation, the good man made the waters sweet, but the bad man makes them bitter. A fallen star represents Satan “how art thou fallen from heaven.” (Isa 14:13) “There fell a great star (symbolic of an angel, see Rev. 1:20) [Lucifer], burning as it were a lamp (compare Ezek 1:13 & Rev 4:5), and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters; and the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third became wormwood; and many died of the waters, because they were made bitter.” Rev 8:10, 11

When this fallen angel pretends to be the Messiah, the waters will not be made sweet as a result, but made bitter….. “By their fruits ye shall know them!” More Here

The sacrifice of Christ on the Cross

Because God knew that Adam would fail the conditions of his immortality, He provided for One who would redeem fallen mankind. Through one man, Adam, sin entered the world, but through another Man, Jesus Christ, redemption through the forgiveness of sin is available to all (Romans 5:17). Those who avail themselves of the sacrifice of Christ on the cross will see the tree of life again, for it stands in the middle of the Holy City, the New Jerusalem (Revelation 21:2, 22:1-2). Its water is the constant flow of everlasting life from God’s throne to God’s people.

The Fly

”Sell your soul”

Bono appeared as the The Fly in the 1994 Zoo TV tour, the Vertigo tour in 2005, and the film U23D

“The Fly” made its live debut on 29 February 1992 on the opening night of the Zoo TV Tour, and it was subsequently played at every show on the tour. For Zoo TV performances, Bono portrayed his “Fly” alter-ego, which he had developed into a leather-clad egomaniac. He described the character’s outfit as having Lou Reed’s glasses, Elvis Presley‘s jacket, and Jim Morrison‘s leather pants.[21] To match the character’s dark fashion, Bono dyed his naturally brown hair black.[22] Bono began each concert as “The Fly” and would continue to play the character for most of the first half of the concert.

The U2 phrase, “Mock the devil and he will flee from thee” appears in the Zoo TV performance of “The Fly.” Other words and phrases were rapidly flashed on screens several stories high such as, “666,” “Guilt is not of God,” “Everything you know is wrong,” and various obscenities (online source). On the Vertigo tour in Hawaii, other messages were displayed like, “The secret is your self,” and “Sell your soul” (online source).

The secret is your self,” and “Sell your soul

“brute beasts”

But the Bible says: “Resist the devil, and he will flee from you” (James 4:7). Mocking the devil, either in words or in costume, is also spoken of in the Bible in a very negative way. Both Peter and Jude speak of those who would mock or speak evil of the devil as “brute beasts” They say:

“The way I saw ‘The Fly’ was like an obscene phone call from hell, but the guy likes it there. He’s like calling home, saying, ‘I like it.’ It’s a deranged kind of character. We have all these kind of people that we are, and there’s some that you just don’t want to let out in public. He’s one of them.” – Bono, NME

The song is a tribute or illustration or reminder to us, of martyrs to this ideal. It speaks to how they lived their life with an inner Pride in all of humanity and that this Pride is really an expression of God’s love for all of humanity. These people did what they did because they were trying to spread this message of God’s love for all of mankind. Bono

Matthew 4King James Version (KJV)

Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.

And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.

10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

“I Believe in Father Christmas” Lyrics by U2

The ONE, The coming ONE – AntiChrist

What “spirit” is Bono talking about? Anarchy has everything to do with lawlessness and rebellion. It is in Bono’s favourite Bible translation that the Antichrist is described as the “anarchic” one, not the Holy Spirit. Eugene Peterson’s translation of 2 Thessalonians 2:6-12 about the Antichrist, whom he calls “the Anarchist,” says:

”You’ll also remember that I told you the Anarchist is being held back until just the right time. That doesn’t mean that the spirit of anarchy is not now at work. It is, secretly and underground. But the time will come when the Anarchist will no longer be held back, but will be let loose. But don’t worry. The Master Jesus will be right on his heels and blow him away. The Master appears and—puff!—the Anarchist is out of there.

The Anarchist’s coming is all Satan’s work. All his power and signs and miracles are fake, evil sleight of hand that plays to the gallery of those who hate the truth that could save them. And since they’re so obsessed with evil, God rubs their noses in it—gives them what they want. Since they refuse to trust truth, they’re banished to their chosen world of lies and illusions” (Peterson, Eugene. The Message Bible).

“ONE” was the song that saved U2

In many ways, “One” was the song that saved U2… a breakthrough occurred

“At the instant we were recording it,” said The Edge, “I got a very strong sense of its power. We were all playing together in the big recording room, a huge, eerie ballroom full of ghosts of the war, and everything fell into place. It was a reassuring moment… It’s the reason you’re in a band—when the spirit descends upon you and you create something truly affecting. ‘One’ is an incredibly moving piece. It hits straight into the heart.”…Shmoop

”…when the spirit descends upon…”

Bono said that the lyrics of “One,” like those of many of his most emotionally affecting creations, “just fell out of the sky, a gift.”…”one love, one heart”

Bono – in drag – sings to his own father

The meaning of the song gets even more complicated when you take into account the music videos. Remarkably, the band made three separate videos to accompany the song, and they could not be more different from one another.

The first video version, directed by Anton Corbjin and shot in sepia, shows the band in Berlin, driving in Trabant cars, and dressed in drag. Bono—in drag—sings to his own father. Many fans and critics have interpreted the video to mean that “One” is the story of a gay son confessing to his father that he is HIV-positive. The fact that proceeds from the single were donated exclusively to AIDS charities further fuelled this line of speculation.

Music video by U2 performing One – Anton Corbjin Version. (C) 1992 Universal-Island Records Ltd

But the second video takes things in a completely different direction. Directed by Mark Pellington, it shows footage of running buffaloes, blooming flowers (sunflowers and orchids), and the word “one” in many different languages (also at one point, the word “smell” appears across the flowers). Okay then.

Finally, the third version depicts Bono sitting in a bar, smoking a cheroot, interspersed with footage of the band performing the song live

The gospel according to Aid

In the beginning there was nothing … and then there was Aid, and Bono

Chapter 1: In the beginning

  1. In the beginning was the word about change and the change was with Aid, and the change was Aid.
  2. All things were made by Aid; and without Aid there was nothing made.

Chapter 2: Sufficiency

  1. Therefore do not be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will have its own government.
  2. Sufficient for each day is its own DfID grants.

Chapter 3: Love and trust

  1. For foreign donors loved the third world so much that they gave their only begotten Aid, that whosoever accepts it and takes some loans by the side will not perish but have everlasting help.
  2. Trust in the donor with all your heart and do not lean upon your own understanding, but in all your ways take notice of his Aid.

Chapter 4: The evil Chinese

  1. The Chinese only comes to steal, kill and destroy. I have come that you may have Aid and have it to the full.
  2. Avoid the yuan from the Chinese and reject their investments.

The coming of the lawless ONE is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, {10} and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. {11} And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, {12} that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Bono’s ONE campaign has become the “Third Way,” which all political parties can celebrate as an issue bigger then democrats and republicans alike. Politicians and celebrities alike join Bono’s anti-Gospel, social justice ONE campaign.

Bono’s faith has been an ongoing factor in his advocacy work, and it even cropped up in the lyrics of some of his most famous U2 hits. From ‘I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For’: “I believe in the kingdom come/Then all the colors will bleed into ONE.”

WHAT HAS BEEN SAID ABOUT BONO FROM EMERGING CHURCH LEADERS:

  • Eugene Peterson, author of The Message, says U2 has a prophetic voice to the world and says Bono is a prophet like John the Baptist (foreword to Get Up Off Your Knees: Preaching the U2 Catalog).
  • Brian Walsh believes that U2’s lyrics should be used for seminary training and as commentaries alongside the Bible, and that U2’s concerts should be studied to see “how worship really happens in a postmodern world” (Get Up Off Your Knees).
  • Mark Mulder has taught a U2 course at Calvin College and he observes that the school shares Bono’s view that the world will not be destroyed but will be renewed (“Calvin College on U2,” Christianity Today, Feb. 2005).
  • Brian McLaren and Tony Campolo say that Bono is moving the world toward the kingdom of God and increasing the kingdom of God in the here and now (McLaren and Campolo, Adventures in Missing the Point, 2003, pp. 50, 51).
  • Bill Hybels interviewed Bono at Willowcreek Community Church’s Leadership Summit in 2006 and that interview has been shown in thousands of churches all over the world.
  • Rick Warren invited Bono to Saddleback Church to help launch his P.E.A.C.E. program.
  • Rob Bell testifies that the first time he really experienced God was at a U2 concert (Velvet Elvis: Repainting the Christian Faith, p. 72).
  • Emerging leader Steven Taylor calls Bono “a worship leader” and on his blog promotes “Seven Things I Learned from Bono about Worship Leading.”
  • Christianity Today almost worships U2. When Episcopalian ministers Raewynne Whiteley and Beth Maynard published “Get Up Off Your Knees: Preaching the U2 Catalog,” Christianity Today responded with a review entitled “The Legend of Bono Vox: Lessons Learned in the Church of U2.”

Woe unto you,…false prophets.”

It is a fearful thing to be highly regarded by not only pop-Christian leaders, but also top celebrities and politicians. Jesus said, “Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.” (Luke 6:26)

How is it that a professing Christian like Bono can be on top of the world?

How is it that a professing Christian like Bono can be on top of the world? The world hears and receives it own. Jesus said, “If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you;” (John 15:19)

“I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world;” (John 17:14)

“They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them;” (1 John 4:5)

“And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.” (1 John 5:19)

Bono is embraced and given the upper-hand in both religious and political spheres of influence. Many are following Bono in social justice but throwing the Gospel out the window. Bono’s hip Christianity will inspire many Christians to embrace ecumenism and apostasy in the cloak of philanthropy. This is a politicized social Gospel which is contrary to the doctrine of Christ…Bibleprophecy

Unequally Yoked

The New Yorker’s Joshua Rothman perceptively writes about U2’s ongoing tension with the Christian faith and doubt:

The story of U2 might be this: having begun as a band that was uncertain about the idea of pursuing a life of faith through music, they have resolved that uncertainty. Their thin ecclesiology has become thick. Today, they are their own faith community….” Joshua Rothman

For more about U2’s apparent faith/doubt paradox, and to find out what one scholar asserts is “the most heard, most successful hymn of the last few decades” read Rothman’s article “The Church of U2”

‘I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For,’ U2

coexist

This first set of lyrics comes from one of their popular songs, “I Still Haven’t found What I’m Looking For”.

U2 are Antichrist, and of the Devil

One thing very clever, and very dangerous about song lyrics is that so many of them are written in the first person (and U2’s lyrics are no exception. They are almost exclusively written in the first person.) So when you sing along with the song, you are actually expressing agreement with the heart and soul of the writer. (You too?)

Here is the first lyric:
“You broke the bonds, and loosed the chains, carried the cross of my shame… You know I believe it!”
At first glance, this almost sounds Christian. In fact, it is because of lyrics like these being strewn about their songs, that many people have claimed them to be a Christian band. But what does the very next line of the song say?
“But I still haven’t found what I’m looking for.”
He never says what it is that he is looking for, but he makes it clear that it isn’t the cross of Christ. That song is an absolute rejection of Christ, and it is done very deceitfully by including the words, “You know I believe it.” But since he was looking for something else, he was clearly rejecting the cross of Christ and turning away from it. (And anyone who sings along with this song does the same thing!)

Bono antichrist Pope

The next set of lyrics comes from the very next song on the same album: “With or Without You”. (Notice, even the title of this song conveys double-mindedness.)
“Through the storm we reach the shore…” Stop right there a minute. What does that remind you of? It reminds me of Christ and His disciples in the ship. Jesus walks on the water to them, gets in the ship, the winds stop, and they make it to shore. So he’s speaking as one of Christ’s disciples? (Remember though, that Judas Iscariot was also on the ship.)
The next line says,
“You give it all, but I want more.”
Once again, Christ isn’t “good enough” for him. Once again, Christ is rejected.

These next two lyrics are more blatantly against Christ, and downright blasphemous.
This next one is from the song, “Sunday Bloody Sunday”. We know that in Great Britain and other English-speaking European countries, that the word “bloody” is a strong curse word, used to describe extreme disgust. It is equivalent to, or maybe even stronger than the “f” word in America. (This song is also supposed to be an antiwar song, which is what the other aspect that the word “bloody” is supposedly referring to.)
So watch this now.
“And we’ve only yet begun, to claim the victory Jesus won…”
(next line)
  “On, Sunday, Bloody Sunday!”
So the victory over sin death and hell that Jesus won by His resurrection from the dead is, to the writer, a cursed thing! He was basically cursing the day that Jesus rose from the dead! (And this writer calls himself “Bono”, which means, “good”. He calls evil good and good evil, just like Scripture says. He will be cursing the day he was born one day, unless he repents.)

This last one is from “Love Rescue Me”.
It seems that he was a little too lazy this time to be deceptive ,and just comes out and says it.
“I have cursed thy rod and staff. they no longer comfort me. Love, rescue me!”
(That gave me the creeps even typing that out!)
This is a clear and obvious reference to Psalm 23 (“Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort me”). He blatantly outright curses the rod and staff of the Lord! He hates His correction, and curses Him! Then he asks “love” to rescue him. What love is that? It obviously isn’t the love of God that he’s speaking of. It’s the “love” that the whore, the harlot, offers.
This time, he not only rejects Christ (again!), he actually says what he’s rejecting Christ in favor of: the mother harlots, and of all abominations of the earth. That’s who he “loves”.

U2 are Antichrist, and of the devil. There are dozens more examples that prove this even more, but this should be enough to close the case. It is for me…Dan Brooks

U2 are Antichrist, and of the Devil

U2’S CCHRISTIANITY

The members of U2 do not support any specific church or denomination. Very rarely do they attend church at all. But one church that Bono will attend from time to time is Glide Memorial United Methodist Church located in San Francisco. Bono attended a special service back in 1992, to honor Bill Clinton’s presidential election.

”I don’t want to go to no heaven…”

“Speaking at a meeting connected with the 1972 United Methodist Church Quadrennial Conference, Cecil Williams, pastor of the Glide Memorial Methodist Church, said, “I don’t want to go to no heaven … I don’t believe in that stuff. I think it’s a lot of – – – – [vulgarity].” A Jewish rabbi is on William’s staff. Williams was the Grand Marshall of the San Francisco Gay Pride parade and the chairman of his board was a homosexual. He has been “marrying” homosexuals since 1965 and says, “I have not married a single couple at Glide who weren’t already living together” (Williams, speaking at the Centenary United Methodist Church, St. Louis, quoted in Blu-Print, April 25, 1972). Long ago William’s church replaced the choir with a rock band, and its “celebrations” have included immoral dancing and even complete nudity.

After attending a service at Glide Memorial, a newspaper editor wrote, “The service, in my opinion, was an insult to every Christian attending and was the most disgusting display of vulgarity and sensuousness I have ever seen anywhere.” [2] – source

Bono believes that heaven and hell are here and now. He does not believe in a literal hell as is described in the Word of God.

The members of U2 do not believe Christianity should have rules and regulations. “I’m really interested in and influenced by the spiritual side of Christianity, rather than the legislative side, the rules and regulations” (Edge, U2: The Rolling Stone Files, p. 21).

HELL IS REAL, AND IT’S NOT THIS SIDE OF ETERNITY

“The punishment of the wicked in hell is as never ending as the bliss of the righteous in heaven. Jesus Himself indicates that punishment in hell is just as everlasting as life in heaven (Matthew 25:46). The wicked are forever subject to the fury and the wrath of God. Those in hell will acknowledge the perfect justice of God (Psalm 76:10). Those who are in hell will know that their punishment is just and that they alone are to blame (Deuteronomy 32:3-5). Yes, hell is real. Yes, hell is a place of torment and punishment that lasts forever and ever, with no end. Praise God that, through Jesus, we can escape this eternal fate (John 3:16, 18, 36).” [3] – source

Are those in the Emerging Churches saved but extremely shallow and immature? Or is it possible that they never were saved in the first place? I can’t make that call, but it distresses me greatly to watch people who name the name of Jesus as their Savior, following after false teachers who preach a different gospel.

I do know that the false teachers will be judged harshly.

James 3:1 clearly states it:

“My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.”

Speak truth about false Teachers

When I speak truth about false teachers to their followers, I am attacked and accused of judging. We will go in circles about this, but it always comes back to being told that I am a judgmental and mean spirited person. I always show them the scriptures which clearly condemn the heresies, but they will not look at God’s Word; or if they do look, they take it completely out of context. Sometimes I feel like ignoring these types, but then I remember that the Lord wants us to always speak truth…by

Bono is Loved by Emerging Church leaders

“But U2 is much more than a popular rock band. U2 has a great influence in the emerging church and the contemporary worship movement. U2’s lead singer Bono is praised almost universally among contemporary and emerging Christians. Phil Johnson observes that “Bono seems to be the chief theologian of the Emerging Church Movement” (Absolutely Not! Exposing the Post-modern Errors of the Emerging Church, p. 9).

“Bono played a far more significant role on the formative years on those who became emergent than anyone else, from a human standpoint. Bono, in the 1980s, was, if not worshipped, then absolutely adored by millions of Christian youth who were hanging on his every word. They saw his cool kind of Christianity. He helped lead people into what eventually became the emerging church. Bono has led people into a version of Christianity that is so slippery, so undefinable, so liberal, yet he is considered the main icon of the emerging church” (Joseph Schimmel, The Submerging Church, DVD, 2012).” [1] – source

How To Dismantle An Idolized Bono

It was a euphoric experience. During the first few songs, I stood, along with the rest of the stadium, as we pumped our fists into the air and sang along with every word. The energy in the air was emotionally overwhelming. And if you’ve never been to a U2 show, let me tell you that it was everything you’d ever expect it to be.

But it was also much, much more.

About five songs into their set, Bono stopped the show and strapped on a headband with writing on it. I stared up at the JumboTron to see that the handwritten lettering said: COEXIST.

Coexisting sounds like a great idea. I fully support the peaceful philanthropy that Bono has encouraged, and this seemed like another way that he was trying to spread the message.

Except, it started to feel like more than a political message. The “C” in “coexist” was the Islamic crescent moon, the “X” was the Star of David, and the “T” was the cross of Christ. Bono pointed at the symbols on his headband—first to the cross, then to the star, then to the crescent moon—and he began to repeat:

”…words like a mantra…”

“Jesus, Jew, Mohammed—all true. Jesus, Jew, Mohammed—all true.”

He repeated the words like a mantra, and some people even began to repeat it with him. I suddenly wanted to crawl out of my skin. Was Bono, my supposed brother in Christ, preaching some kind of universalism? In just a few seconds, I went from agreeing with him about Christ-like “coexistence” to being creeped out by the ungodly, untrue thing he was saying. What’s going on here? What if he believes that all ways are the same, and he just thinks of Christianity as his particular way? Aren’t universalism and true Christianity mutually exclusive?

I’ve heard the urban legends of amazing things Bono has said about his faith, I’ve read the books, and I’ve peered deep into everything he’s said hoping to find something that makes his beliefs clear. For years, I’ve adored him and clung to the notion that he is believer, too. After all, he identifies himself with Christianity, doesn’t he?

”…he stated that lie so boldly…”

When he stated that lie so boldly, it devastated me. It was, without question, the most disturbing experience of my life; I felt like I’d been covered in bile. As I looked around, I saw all the people standing and chanting with him—it was disgusting and beautiful all at once. Unity can be so enticing. It made me think of the one world religion and how that will probably look benign and beautiful from the outside, too. I even started to wonder if universalism just might be poised to be that religion. All these things were running through my head…Tara Leigh Cobble

Bono’s Unexpected Response to ‘Who Is Jesus?’

U2 frontman Bono talks about his faith and answers the question “Who is Jesus?” in the video below.

Bono’s hip and cool Christianity

Once, again Bono’s hip and cool Christianity has deceived many in recent days from Focus on the Familyt o World Net Daily. Joe Kovacs’ article entitled “U2’s Bono: Yes, Jesus is the Son of God,” presents quotes from Bono and and U2 band members over the years affirming their Christian faith. For instance, Bono is quoted, “I believe that Jesus was, you know, the Son of God.”1

Jim Daly, president of Focus on the Family hosted an aired conversation with Bono.2 He followed up the interview with an article entitled “Why Orthodox Christians Should Appreciate an Unorthodox Bono” in which he defends Bono’s “very real Christian faith.” Daly says, “Bono may at times be a bit unorthodox in his approach, but he is quite orthodox in the areas that matter most – loving God and loving people.”3 Daly incorporated statistics on how Bono’s efforts are changing the world from a humanitarian standpoint.

Sadly, many Christians are being deceived by Bono’s Christianity.Philanthropy is no substitute for the Gospel of Jesus Christ! Christians should minister medical help to the sick, give to the poor, and educate the uneducated. But this is no substitute for the Gospel. Jesus said, “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.” (Mark 16:15,16). How many of those who have been saved from extreme poverty through Bono’s ONE Campaign are now saved from their sins through the same effort? Can social justice, debt relief, and elimination of the AIDS epidemic bring glory to God when it is completely unconnected to the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ?

Bono’s Unorthodoxy

Daly says orthodox Christians should appreciate an unorthodox Bono. This irrational and anti-doctrinal stance resonates with popular phrases like like “deeds, not creeds”, “head knowledge vs. heart knowledge,” and “plurality of truth.” Paul the Apostle did not make concession for false doctrine but exhorted Timothy, “Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.” (2 Timothy 4:3). Daly had a perfect opportunity to do just that on his Focus on the Family interview with Bono. But the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. (2 Timothy 4:3,4)

Ironically, Bono, though a guest on Focus on the Family, holds to many ideas destructive to the family unit such as his support of homosexuality and abortion. Bono stated, “My bottom line on any sexuality is that love is the most important thing. That love is it. Any way people want to love each other is OK by me. That’s different from abuse, be it homosexual or heterosexual.”4When asked, “How do you feel, for instance, about abortion?” Bono responded, “I just have my own ideas. I believe that it’s a woman’s right to choose. Absolutely.”5

While Daly exalted Bono as a strong family man, FoxNews reports with photographic evidence on how Bono was busted partying with teenage girls. The article says:

The curse of Facebook has now hit U2 lead singer Bono. . . Pictures of the 48-year-old rocker with his arm around two bikini-clad teenagers in St Tropez were posted on the popular social site complete with diary details. Bono was on vacation with long-time friend Simon Carmody, a musician and former member of Irish band Golden Horde. The Irishmen met up with two 19-year-olds, American fashion student Andrea Feick and her British friend Hannah Emerson. . .

The images show Bono wearing his trademark hat and sunglasses while drinking with the two girls at the Nikki Beach bar in St Tropez. Later that evening, they took a stroll along the beach, then made their way to a luxury yacht, thought to be the Cyan, a $12 million, 140ft yacht with six cabins owned by U2 guitarist The Edge. Bono, Carmody and the girls partied into the night on the yacht. Bono’s 26-year marriage to wife Ali is famously strong.6

Almost always, Bono challenges taboos in his public speeches with profane language. Appearing on the Golden Globe Awards broadcast live in 2003, Bono shouted the f-word. The incident was investigated by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), which declared Bono’s language “profane” but decided not to fine the stations.7

Bono on Fundamentalists

When Bono was asked if he believed that Jesus is the way, and if that biblical injunction denied that followers of other religions could enter paradise, he answered:

I don’t accept that. I don’t accept that fundamentalist concept. I believe, what is it? “The way is narrow as the eye of the needle,” and all that. But I think that’s just to keep the fundamentalists out. . . . (laughs)

I never really accepted the whole “born again” tag.8

Bono’s Ecumenism

On the contrary, Bono is ecumnical in his promoting of the three “Abrahamic faiths.” On U2’s 2005 Vertigo tour, Bono sought to bridge all faiths into a global religion. The word “COEXIST” appeared on a giant screen—the “C” in the symbol of the Islamic crescent, the “X” as the Jewish star of David, and “T” as the Christian cross. Bono led their fans in a chant singing, “Jesus, Jew, Mohammed—It’s True.”

As for the apostate Roman Catholic Church, at Georgetown University, Bono jovially said, “Everyone knows God is a Catholic, right?”10 Furthermore, Bono said,

Let’s not get too hard on the Holy Roman Church here. The Church has its problems, but the older I get, the more comfort I find there … murmuring prayers, stories told in stained-glass windows, the colors of Catholicism–purple mauve, yellow, red–the burning incense. My friend Gavin Friday says Catholicism is the glam-rock of religion.11

Bono on Grace

In an interview with the band Oasis, member Noel Gallagher recalls a three-hour conversation with Bono about God:

[B]efore going to see U2 in Manchester recently, me and me girlfriend were saying, “I wonder what it is with Bono and God?” Anyway, we’re sat round a table after the gig and I go, “Explain it to me ’cause I was brought up Catholic and it means f*** all to me.” We had a good three-hour conversation about his religious philosophy, which is basically, “Go to God, tell him what all your flaws are and say, ‘Can you work with me?’” Which is completely different to the “Don’t drink, don’t screw, don’t take drugs and always go to church” bollocks you get taught at school.12

Granted, Noel Gallagher is a secondary source of Bono’s views on God’s grace. However, in another interview, Bono describes his own beliefs about grace. He says:

It’s a remarkable thing, the idea that there’s some sort of hierarchy to sin . . . It’s something I can never figure out, the idea that sexual immorality is somehow much worse than, say, institutional greed. Somewhere in the back of the religious mind is this idea that we reap what we sow is missing the entire New Testament and the concept of grace completely.13

However, this idea that we reap what we sow is specifically taught in the New Testament. “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not” (Galatians 6:7-9) “For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Jude 1:4)

Bono says:

But I’d be in big trouble if Karma was going to finally be my judge. I’d be in deep s***. It doesn’t excuse my mistakes, but I’m holding out for Grace. I’m holding out that Jesus took my sins onto the Cross, because I know who I am, and I hope I don’t have to depend on my own religiosity.14

But Bono’s understanding of grace is not the life-transforming power of God unto salvation. Paul the Apostle says we have received grace for obedience of the faith. “We have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name.” (Romans 1:5) If we are under God’s grace, then sin has no more power over us (Romans 6:14). God’s grace equips us for good works: “And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.” (2 Corinthians 9:8)

Bono on Judgment

Bono promotes his agenda to end extreme poverty with biblical ignorance and/or Bible twisting. For instance, he says:

There are 2,103 verses of Scripture pertaining to the poor. Jesus Christ only speaks of judgment once. It is not all about the things that the church bangs on about. It is not about sexual immorality, and it is not about megalomania, or vanity. It is about the poor. “I was naked and you clothed me. I was a stranger and you let me in.” This is at the heart of the gospel.15

Does Jesus only speak about judgment once? Certainly Jesus and the apostles instructed us to remember the poor, but Jesus makes several statements about judgment and the Judgment. This judgment has much to do with people’s faith and obedience toward God, whether they were righteous or wicked (see Matthew 5:22; 12:36-37; 13:40-43,49,50).

Bono says it’s not about sexual immorality, but Jesus specifically addresses the sexually immoral in reference to judgment saying, “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death” (Revelation 21:8). Jesus also mentioned how fire and brimstone rained down upon the sexually corrupt city of Sodom (Luke 17:28-29). Again, Jesus speaks of judgment in relation to sexual sin when He warned the church of Thyatira saying, “Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols” (Revelation 2:20). The book of Revelation continues to link sexual immorality to God’s judgment and wrath: “Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts” (Revelation 9:21); “Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.” (Revelation 22:14-15).

Postmodern Pop Christian Superman

superbono.not

Across the nation, young evangelicals are naming Rick Warren or Bono as their role model for social engagement, rather than a Christian Right leader, says Michael Gerson, senior research fellow in the Center on Faith & International Affairs at the Institute for Global Engagement.

Warren, pastor of Saddleback Church in Lake Forrest, Calif., is known for mobilizing evangelical churches in the battle against HIV/AID in Africa, while U2 frontman Bono is one of the world’s leading anti-poverty activists

The most significant leaders within the popular megachurch movement including Rick Warren all idolize Bono as some sort of Christian Superman. Senior pastor of Willow Creek Community Church, Bill Hybels hosted the 2009 annual Leadership Summit. Among the 17 speakers that appeared, U2 lead singer Bono was interviewed via satellite. In an article titled “What Bono Taught Me About Fighting Poverty”, Bill Hybels wrote:

Faith leaders the world over expected this day would come. What we didn’t expect was that it would take an Irish rock star to demand the dawn.

As leaders, there are so many things we must get better at: casting vision, building teams, solving problems, enforcing values, and building the next generation of leaders. But if we excel in those areas and still neglect to use our leadership octane to address God’s clear mandate to serve the poor, what have we really gained?

Since Bono’s clarion call three years ago, well-resourced churches have banded together to take a bite out of poverty, pouring vast amounts of resources into building orphanages, clinics, schools, and sports fields through partnerships with under resourced churches around the globe. Not that the ultimate judge comes in the form of a leather-clad superstar in shades, but still it was gratifying to hear Bono’s assessment of progress to date: “I knew [the church] was a sleeping giant, but I didn’t know the giant could run so fast.”17

Rick Warren

CNN Money reported that Rick Warren has also “forged ties” with Bono, who arranged to make him official pastor of the 2004 Live 8 concert in Philadelphia.18 Warren recently tweeted a “good article on Bono.”

Both Bono and the Purpose Driven Pastor Rick Warren are compromising the Gospel of Jesus Christ in order to work together for debt-relief and AIDS programs. The peace and social justice that Bono advocates goes hand-in-hand with Rick Warren’s P.E.A.C.E. Plan. One New York Times article states:

But more liberals and evangelicals are realizing that you don’t have to convert people; sometimes you can just work with them. The world is suddenly crowded with people like Rick Warren and Bono who are trying to step out of the logic of the culture war so they can accomplish more in the poverty war.”20

In the prologue of Sun Stand Still, seeker-driven pastor Steven Furtick recalls his experience at a U2 concert within the Time Warner Cable Arena where he would later preach to over ten thousand people. Furtick writes:

I can’t lie–it’s a pretty cool feeling to have Bono as your opening act. Even is his show was four and half years before. . .

I was about to preach the gospel from the same spot where I watched one of the biggest rock bands in the world play, “Where the Streets Have No Name.” . . .

This is how it feels to share the stage with Bono.21

Apologist Tim Keller, in his book The Reason for God, offers Bono’s comments on Jesus as the Son of God and says Bono “personally felt the radical implications of Jesus’s claims.22

Richard Stearns, president of World Vision hails Bono as a “prophetic voice, one of both passion and vision.” He says Bono, “may have done more to advance the cause of the poor in the last twenty-five years than anyone alive.”23

Philip Yancey speaks of seeing Bono hush 20,000 screaming fans to silence, then lead them in a psalm though he admits that some “who thundered in applause were praising only Bono.” Yancey says he prays for “the rock star Bono and his prophetic challenge to the church.”24

Bono and U2 as a prophetic voice

In an Emergent book called Get Up Off Your Knees, several contributing authors including Eugene Peterson, author of The Message Bible translation, praise Bono and U2 as a prophetic voice. One contributor, Brian Walsh, believes U2 lyrics should be taught in seminaries and that U2 concerts demonstrate how worship should be done in a postmodern Emerging culture. In fact, Calvin College offered a class which analyzed U2’s influence on Christians.25 Contributor to the book, Brian Walsh states further:

Why isn’t the U2 catalog integral to the curricula of theological seminaries around the world? Why aren’t there courses on biblical interpretation where Bono’s lyrics are set side by side with biblical texts and their commentators? Why don’t liturgists study concert footage to see how worship really happens in a postmodern world?”26

Following the book’s release, Christianity Today idolized Bono in an article entitled “The Legend of Bono Vox, Lessons Learned in the Church of U2.” In the book, Bono is likened to John the Baptist. It states:

If they do not explicitly proclaim the Kingdom, they certainly prepare the way for that proclamation in much the same way that John the Baptist prepared for the kerygma of Jesus. . .

A voice crying in the wilderness not unlike that of John the Baptist we’ve been hearing throughout the Advent season.

Rob Bell

Emergent Church leader Rob Bell says:

I remember the first time I was truly in awe of God. I was caught up the first time in my life in something so massive and loving and transcendent and . . . true. Something I was sure could be trusted. I specifically remember thinking the universe was safe, in spite of all the horrible, tragic things in the world. I remember being overwhelmed with the word true. Underneath it all life is somehow . . . good . . . and I was sixteen and at a U2 concert. The Joshua Tree tour. When they started with the song “Where the Streets Have No Name.” I thought I was going to spontaneously combust with joy. This was real. This mattered. Whatever it was, I wanted more

Doug Pagitt

Doug Pagitt speaks favorably of Bono’s ecumenical COEXIST message saying:

Through an email I read an article on the Relevant website of one persons experience at a concert. I can’t find the article on the website, but I read it in the email. It is called “How to Dismantle an Idolized Bono”. She was disturbed by Bono’s call to Coexist (which is as much a marketing effort of a line of products as anything else, it seems to me). But the articles author raises concerns about Bono not being what she thought because of his call for “oneness” and his use of the Coexist logo which included the Crescent Moon, Star of David, and Cross. The article makes statements that made we groan aloud, and yell in frustration a couple of times. It drove me to Bono’s side, to come to his defense, to join the Coexist crowd. So, here’s to you my man Bono.29

There are many examples of Emergents quoting Bono as if he were a theologian. For instance, in the book, Listening to Beliefs of Emerging Churches: Five Perspectives by Robert Webber and Mark Driscoll, we read:

Bono of the band U2, in a Rolling Stone interview, stated that he sees the Bible as what “sustains” him. He also called the Bible an “anchor” and a “plumb line.” I like Bono’s anchor analogy. When we are in a boat that is anchored, we have freedom to drift around, but there is a limit to the drifting.30

Brian McLaren

On Emergent spokesperson Brian McLaren’s website, one of his readers poses the question, “Why Bother With Church at All?” to which McLaren posted an answer. It is interesting in the reader’s post that they praise Bono for his version of Christianity, going to the length of proclaiming Bono as the “leader” of the Emergent Church. They write:

I think of Bono of U2, who has for years lamented the irrelevance of organized religion and yet conducts praise and worship services for 25,000 people all the while creating a commercial and culturally viable perch from which he can model a compelling vision of a social gospel. This guy is the leader of the “emergent church” movement… not a bunch of dissatisfied ex-Jesus movement pastors fawning after a book deal to tell the church world how to do it better.”

Tony Campolo

In Brian McLaren and Tony Campolo’s book Adventures in Missing the Point, Campolo devotes much time in his “Kingdom of God” chapter to praising Bono. He writes, “U2’s lead singer Bono is using his wealth and celebrity status to do just that: increase the kingdom of God in the here and now.”32Campolo elaborates on Bono’s good works of going to Ethiopia and performing concerts to aid in famine and work in orphanages. Campolo says of Bono:

He now works fiercely to change the policies of governments and of organizations like the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund . . . Politicians with views as diverse as Bill Clinton and Jesse Helms have taken Bono seriously and joined him in successful efforts to reduce Third World debts. . . However unlikely you think it is for a rock star to be an instrument of God, Bono has the marks of one.33

Evolving World, Emerging Church

An article from Bangor Daily News neatly sums it up well. In Bangor Seminary’s 2012 convocation called “Evolving World, Emerging Church,” Rev. Steven Lewis called it “humanitarian spirituality” and said, “Salvation in the 21st century is being a good human being,” and pointed to rock star Bono, celebrities Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.34

On the Emergent Village website, Bono is labeled as a “Prophetic Preacher.” His speech at the National Prayer Breakfast on February 2, 2006 was called “his best sermon yet” by Emergent Village.35

So significant is Bono’s influence in the Emerging Church, Phil Johnson of Grace to You made a stunning statement:

That reminds me of a couple of other things I wanted to mention but can’t really take time to elaborate on. This may help you more than anything I have said so far to understand the flavor of the “emerging church movement”: Bono—the Irish rocker and politico of U2 fame—seems to be the unofficial icon of the movement. If you’ve been tuned into pop-culture at any time over the past two decades and know anything about Bono, that might help you to grasp something about the look and feel of the movement. (My favorite fact about Bono is that he named one of his sons “Elijah Bob Patricus Guggi-Q.”)

Anyway, Emergent types seem to quote Bono all the time. I would say that he sometimes seems to be the chief theologian of the “emerging church movement.”

Bono the World Leader

bono for presAs stated above, many young evangelicals are naming Bono and Rick Warren as their role models. It is interesting that both the Purpose Driven pastor Rick Warren and the U2 superstar Bono are deeply involved in the three different sectors of society: the public sector of governments, the private sector of businesses, and the social sector of community organizations, including faith-based organizations. Forbes reported:

This is, after all, a man [Rick Warren] who networks with the leaders of the free world, Presidents and presidential hopefuls and assorted dignitaries, while helping combat AIDS through personal relationships with rock music superstars such as Bono.37

Bono’s star status has enabled him to secure meetings with a variety of influential public figures including Tony Blair, George Bush, Barak Obama, Dmitry Medvedev, Pope John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI. Not only is Bono being praised in the religious realm, but many politicians look to Bono as a leader as well. World Bank President Jim Yong Kim recently turned to Bono to talk about solutions and actions needed to end extreme poverty. The political aspects of Bono’s agenda cannot be denied. Even today’s celebrities, politicians, and presidents turn to Bono as the “world leader” that can “save the world.” In an autobiography, Tony Blair writes:

[Bono] could have been a president or prime minister standing on his head. He had an absolutely natural gift for politicking, was great with people, very smart and an inspirational speaker… motivated by an abundant desire to keep on improving, never really content or relaxed.”38

global citizen and Superman

Bono, as the ultimate global citizen and Superman has profound influence in the business, government and religious sectors of society. He shrouds his agenda as the Kingdom of God. Campolo writes:

Bono is using his wealth and celebrity status to do just that: increase the kingdom of God in the here and now. Even back in 1982 he was part of the Live Aid and Band-Aid concerts, whose earnings helped Ethiopians suffering through famine. . . .

He now works fiercely to change the policies of governments and of organizations like the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund—in order that funding for public health, education, and essential social services will increase rather than decrease.39

Bono’s ONE campaign

ONE: The Campaign to Make Poverty History.

Bono’s ONE campaign has become the “Third Way,” which all political parties can celebrate as an issue bigger then democrats and republicans alike. Politicians and celebrities alike join Bono’s anti-Gospel, social justice ONE campaign.

Conclusion

It is a fearful thing to be highly regarded by not only pop-Christian leaders, but also top celebrities and politicians. Jesus said, “Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.” (Luke 6:26) How is it that a professing Christian like Bono can be on top of the world? The world hears and receives it own. Jesus said, “If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you;” (John 15:19) “I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world;” (John 17:14) “They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them;” (1 John 4:5) “And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.” (1 John 5:19)

Bono is embraced and given the upper-hand in both religious and political spheres of influence. Many are following Bono in social justice but throwing the Gospel out the window. Bono’s hip Christianity will inspire many Christians to embrace ecumenism and apostasy in the cloak of philanthropy. This is a politicized social Gospel which is contrary to the doctrine of Christ.

Apart from his prolific music career, Bono is also an avid philanthropist and social entrepreneur. In 2002 he co-founded DATA, an AIDS and poverty awareness organization that would go on to create ONE: The Campaign to Make Poverty History.

Hypocrites, Serpents, Vipers, Blind Guides

“So many churches these days Preach a: Worldly Man-centered pragmatic Shallow “gospel” that is focused merely on this life,& is CONTRARY to God’s Word VS the TRUE GOSPEL of Jesus Christ which is about the Good News of “REPENTANCE & FAITH in JESUS.” (Mark 1:15). So many professing Christians lack Biblical Discernment as well.

Professing Christians should be diligently SEARCHING THE SCRIPTURES DAILY (Acts 17:11) AND BE DISCERNING & COMPARE what you are HEARING— from these False Teachers (& anyone, including us) along with their False Prophecies (that are Mixed with Truth in their Sermons) and Compare it with God’s Word. Remember too, it’s not always what False Teachers say, it’s what they DON’T say.

MANY seem to ONLY want to talk about “God’s Love” (along w/their: Money-talk,&/or Self-Esteem,or Pragmatic people-pleasing talk,&more)– they are NOT at all preaching like: Jesus, Paul, Peter, etc. did when they would warn people & talk about: Sin, Hell, the Coming Judgement, etc (John 16:8). Love is NOT merely giving people what they want, Love Warns too of Danger, which is also what this video aims to do.

Disturbing Secrets of Joel Osteen: Satanism in Church

Are there really many paths to Heaven? What connection does Joel Osteen have with satanist Anton Lavey? Watch and discover the horrifying secrets of the richest pastor in the world.

Expose them…

Ephesians 5:11

“Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.”

John 7:24

“Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgement”

Revelation 19:11-13

Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. 12 His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. 13 He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16 And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written:

KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.

2 Peter 2:1-3 “But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying YAHUSHUA (Jesus) who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. 2 And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. 3 By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber.

2 Peter 2:12-14

But these, like natural brute beasts made to be caught and destroyed, speak evil of the things they do not understand, and will utterly perish in their own corruption, 13 and will receive the wages of unrighteousness, as those who count it pleasure to carouse in the daytime. They are spots and blemishes, carousing in their own deceptions while they feast with you, 14 having eyes full of adultery and that cannot cease from sin, enticing unstable souls.

Rick Warren, author of The Purpose Driven Life

Rick Warren, author of The Purpose Driven Life (over 30 million sold) is America’s current Social Gospel point man. In 2008, backed by a $2 million Rupert Murdoch donation, Warren launched the PEACE Coalition. Time magazine headlined it: “RICK WARREN GOES GLOBAL.” Warren said the coalition’s goal was “to mobilize 1 billion Christians worldwide.” Warren, who is a CFR member, gave the invocation at Obama’s inauguration, and was dubbed “America’s pastor” by CNN.

These are voices coming from within the Church that are deceiving the “hearts of the simple” (Rom. 16:18) and “the very elect” (Mat. 24:24) with the satanic agenda of a one world religion. Believer’s had better wake up soon before it’s too late.

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. – Matthew 7:21-23

Compromising the Truth

“Gays and Homosexual are going to heaven!” says Pastor Rick Warren

The undiluted preaching from God’s Word and an authoritative stand on truth seem to be on the decline. What we’re seeing instead is Modernism, a broadening of the gospel, a redefining of what it means to be a Christian, and a growing emphasis on inclusion and tolerance of those that do not hold to the biblical doctrine of Christ.

The Purpose Driven Deception – Exposing Rick Warren’s World Agenda

This documentary will expose all of the problems with Rick Warrens Purpose Driven Agenda. His global vision to join Islam and Christianity (Kings Road); and the heresy behind it. The problems with his watered-down gospel. His early/life-long influences both religious and secular. The fact that his greatest mentor was not even a Christian but an atheist in the secular world of business and community building. This is very well done with the utmost due-diligence. Do not skip through it, you will only cheat yourself.

Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!

Pharisees – The most known of the religious leaders were the Pharisees. They were a religious party. The word “Pharisee” literally means “Separatist,” the name given to them by their opponents because of their “holier than thou” haughty attitude. Their supreme aim was to strictly follow both the written and oral law.

 Matthew 23:13 (KJV)

But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.

Joel Osteen Says Jesus Christ is Not the Only Way

If Jesus were the pastor of your church you probably wouldn’t go there

Spurgeon-Church

Who is your Pastor, and what do you believe to be His will, His purpose?

Who were the Religious Leaders of Jesus’ Time?

Pharisees – The most known of the religious leaders were the Pharisees. They were a religious party. The word “Pharisee” literally means “Separatist,” the name given to them by their opponents because of their “holier than thou” haughty attitude. Their supreme aim was to strictly follow both the written and oral law.

They looked down upon the common people who did not have the slightest chance of fulfilling the complex requirements of the Law. However, the common people admired the Pharisees as representing the ideal followers of Judaism. The Pharisees had such a hold on the common people that no governing power could afford to disregard them.

However, not all Pharisees were bad. Many of them actually tried to promote true spirituality and piety. Some of the well known men of the New Testament were Pharisees such as, Nicodemus (John 3), Gamaliel (Acts 5:34), and Paul himself (Philippians 3:5). Some of them became members in the early church (Acts 6:7). Paul used the title of Pharisee with great respect and as a title of honor (Philippians 3:5).

Kenneth Copeland Is Selling His Flock To The Vatican

WARNING: The video you are about to see is shocking. It is a blatant, full-frontal assault by the Vatican to, once again, attempt to swallow up the professing Christian church like they did back in 325 AD when the Catholic Church was invented. What you will hear Kenneth Copeland and Anglican priest Tony Palmer – a personal friend and confidant of Pope Francis – say is that “if you are born again, then you are a Catholic” among a host of other outright lies.

Kenneth Copeland is a false teacher of the prosperity gospel, and is to be avoided at all costs. Christians are not Catholics, and never will be. The Catholic Church is an invention of the Devil, and is the one that has spilled the blood of the martyrs. Share this video with every one you know

T. D. Jakes and Oprah EXPOSED – there are Many Paths to God

True Gospel is being perverted! Be aware! T. D. Jakes agrees with Oprah that there are many paths to God.”Jesus Christ is a product” ??? Men have turned the Word Of God into a corporation or big business where profits are the main goal, not salvation through Jesus Christ!

It was T.D. Jakes who said the controversial statement, “I think that Jesus is the product.”

T.D. Jakes: Pastor or Businessman?

T.D. Jakes is an author, writer, film producer, and pastor of a mega church right down the lane from Joel Osteen’s arena. The health and wealth message of Jakes is only the beginning of the problems associated with this fella. If you are interested in the sermon from Jakes, it’s called “dangerous deliverance Pt. 2. on itunes

Bishop Jakes’ Drama & Message, “WOMAN, THOU ART LOOSED,” will be another major theatrical release for the Kingdom of God.

It is sad that any so-called “preacher” of the Gospel would live in a $1,700,000 mansion, while so many poor people are starving to death in this world. It is wicked! T.D. Jakes is an imposter, a phony. The Apostle Paul reminds the believers at Corinth that nether he nor his fellow laborers in Christ tried to make a gain from them. Paul didn’t try to get their money. In contrast, T.D. Jakes has made a gigantic gain off many people, thus violating the Word of God. Preachers are not supposed to be greedy. 1st Timothy 3:1-3 plainly teaches that if a man wants to be a Bishop (pastor) over people, then he should not be greedy of filthy lucre. The Health, wealth, and prosperity Gospel propagated by these imposters of the Trinity Broadcasting Network and false prophets such as T.D. Jakes is an abomination unto the lord Jesus Christ.

“Jakes is completely ecumenical.

“Jakes is completely ecumenical. He often speaks at Promise Keepers and other ecumenical forums. He supports heretics like Robert Schuller. Jakes himself has a background in the Jesus-only doctrine that denies the Trinity. Recently Dr. Norman Geisler charged Jake with promoting the “old, old heresy” of modalism which denies the doctrine of the Trinity (Calvary Contender, August 15, 2001).

Jakes appears with and supports the most radical of the Charismatics today, including Paul and Jan Crouch and the Trinity Broadcasting Network. This is the network that is helped popularize such unscriptural practices and phenomena as hysterical laughing, spirit slaying, Christian rock and roll, healing in the atonement, and evangelical Catholicism. In August 1995, Jakes appeared at Oral Roberts University with a lineup of some of the biggest names in the Word-faith movement, including R.W. Schambach, Lester Sumrall, and T.L. Osborn. One of Jakes’ fellow speakers at that conference was Rodney Howard-Browne, who blasphemously calls himself the “Holy Ghost bartender” because of the strange drunkenness that has manifested during his meetings.

Jakes himself believes in the prosperity gospel. Like many of the Trinity Broadcasting Network preachers, Jakes falsely claims that Jesus was rich and that God wants us to be rich, too. He and his wife live in a $1.7 million mansion.

I saw Jakes preaching on the television a few weeks ago, and right in the midst of his preaching he began babbling away in mutterings he called “tongues.” In direct disobedience to the Bible, there was not even an attempt to interpret the “tongues.” -David Cloud, Way of Life Ministries (Read entire article).

America is going to Hell while greedy and crooked sinister ministers are getting rich abusing the name of Jesus. TBN and their associates have turned the ministry into a den of thieves. Jesus never intended for the church to be a money machine. The Apostle Paul was trying to help people, not take their money, which is clear from 2nd Corinthians 12:17-18….David J. Stewart

Paula White, Her New Book is Not About Salvation via Christ

Paula White tells Larry King how heathens will gain so much from her book about themselves and says nothing of the book being in any way an effort to help anyone find the Lord Jesus Christ. Which makes the book worthless. It’s nothing but the indulgence of self glory, while failing to express that submission to Christ is the only way to salvation. It fails to tell how that without Christ we are nothing.

Paula White calls T,D Jakes her spiritual Father, well as the saying goes birds of the feather will flock together

1 Corinthians 2:1-5 (KJV)

And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.

For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.

And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:

That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

Paula White uses the Lord’s name for personal profit. Not to honestly help those in need of the Savior, the one and Only Lord Jesus Christ.

Do not look for Christ in Paula, He is not there. Begin reading the Holy Bible for yourself and learning of who Jesus Christ really is and how He is the ONLY HOPE for your soul.

America’s Churches Pledge Their Allegiance to the New World Order

Evangelist Anita Uncovers the following:

– The Majority of America’s Pastors Serving as Agents of the Shadow Government
– Most of These Pastors invited to White House for their marching orders on what to preach and do
– First Directive of these pastors: Preach from Romans 13
– Feel Good Message setting up congregants to be subservient, blind, lukewarm, naked, passive and to fall away when The Persecution Hits America
– The Dream the Lord gave me concerning Walmart and the New World Order
– Over 6,000 Fully Staffed and Fully Operational FEMA Camps
and much, much, more…

Following are characteristics that qualifies a person as a potential domestic terrorist according to the DHS, TSA and FEMA:

– Expressions of libertarian philosophies (statements, bumper stickers)
– Second Amendment-oriented views (NRA or gun club membership, holding a CCW permit)

What Jesus condemned was their hypocrisy, as evidenced by their pride in their outward observance of the law but inward spiritual void, and their arrogant belief that they were more religious than the rest. They in return accused Jesus of blasphemy (Luke 5:21), in league with the devil (Matthew 9:34), and of breaking the law (Matthew 12:2) which prompted them to seek to destroy Him (Matthew 12:14).

Scribes – Their job was to study and expound the law. The Pharisees were a religious party, whereas the scribes held religious office. Most of the scribes belonged to the Pharisaic party, whereas not all Pharisees were scribes.

positions of first rank, sought public acclaim

Scribes claimed positions of first rank, sought public acclaim of the people and wore long and expensive robes.

They were the strongest opponents of Jesus because He refused to be bound by the letter of the law (John 5:10; Mark 7:7-13). They kept close watch over whatever He said and did (Mark 2:16; Luke 5:30; 15:2).

Sadducees Unlike the scribes and Pharisees, the Sadducees were a political party favorable to the Roman government. They were priests of Jewish aristocratic class. All Sadducees were priests, but not all priests were Sadducees. They accepted only the written law and rejected the traditions of the Pharisees. They denied bodily resurrection (Mark 12:18; Luke 20:27; Acts 4:1-2; 23:8), the existence of the angels (Acts 23:8), and the sovereignty of God over human affairs, and believed that man is the master of his own destiny.

Because of these theological differences, they did not have a cordial relationship with the Pharisees. However, they joined with the Pharisees in confronting Jesus to show them a sign from heaven (Matthew 16:1). They also raised a question to Jesus about the resurrection (Matthew 22:23).

Most of the criticism of Jesus was directed against the Pharisees, except on one occasion when He warned the disciples of the leaven of the Sadducees (Matthew 16:6, 11).

Herodians The Herodians were neither a religious sect nor a political party. They were Jews who supported the Herodian dynasty. They also joined with the Pharisees to oppose Jesus and attempted to trap Him by asking Him whether it was proper to pay tribute to Caesar (Matthew 22:15-22 and Mark 12:13-17; 3:6 are the only mention of them in the New Testament.).

Although there were many theological and political differences among these four groups and they hated each other strongly, they united in a common cause against Jesus. However, Jesus’ most scathing rebuke was reserved for the scribes and the Pharisees who joined together as a group in hatred and strong opposition of Him.

Jesus’ major encounter with the Sadducees was only on one occasion when they raised the question about the resurrection and marriage (Matthew 22:23-33; Mark 12:18-27; Luke 20:27-38). Similarly, His only encounter with the Herodians was when they were incited by the Pharisees to raise the question about paying taxes to Caesar (Matthew 22:15-22; Mark 12:13-17). There is no mention of the Herodians acting by themselves to oppose Jesus. But as mentioned above, His most scathing rebuke was reserved for the scribes and Pharisees.

Why? Humanly speaking, if anybody needed the message of God’s salvation, it would have been the Sadducees. Sadducees were the modern-day rationalists who did not see any need of God or the supernatural. Following a humanistic philosophy, they put man in the center of the universe as the master of his own destiny. If anybody needed the convincing proof of God and His revelation, it would have been the Sadducees.

Or, Jesus could have picked a fight with the Herodians. Like the present-day civil libertarians, they always argued for the separation of the state and organized religion. Or, like the modern day politicians, they tried to solve all the social and moral problems by the involvement of the government. If anybody needed to be taught that only God can solve the social problems and take care of the need of the human heart, it would have been the Herodians.

But Jesus reserved His most scathing rebukes for the Pharisees and the scribes who without doubt were the most religious people of His time. They followed the law extremely carefully and were guardians of the religious establishment of Jesus’ time. Like Paul before his conversion, they lived according to the strictest code of the Jewish religious system (Acts 26:5; Philippians 3:5).

However, in their close scrutiny of the Law and in their best human efforts to keep the minutest details of the Law, they became blind even to the clearest revelation of the living Word of God. They were very sincere, but sincerely wrong in the value judgments they made about Jesus.

In their confrontation with Jesus, two basic issues were involved: 1) His relation with God the Father; His claims of being equal with the Father, and 2) His relationship with man; His mingling with the lowest class of people in the society; He came to serve and not to be served.

Dispute about His Relation with God the Father

The scribes and Pharisees opposed Jesus in relation to His claims of being equal with God, and they objected to every claim that He made about His being equal with the Father:

1) They objected to His use of the title “Son of God” for Himself. The Pharisees and scribes knew their theology well. When Jesus called God His Father, they knew what He meant was being of the same nature as God; i.e., equal with God, or God Himself:

But He answered them, “My Father is working until now, and I Myself am working.” For this cause therefore the Jews were seeking all the more to kill Him, because He not only was breaking the Sabbath, but also was calling God His own Father, making Himself equal with God (John 5:17-18).395

John MacArthur states in his Study Bible notes on John 1:17-47:

These verses reveal the ultimate reason Jesus confronted the Jews’ religious hypocrisy, i.e., the opportunity to declare who He was. This section is Christ’s own personal statement of His deity. As such, it is one of the greatest Christological discourses in Scripture. Herein Jesus makes 5 claims to equality to God: 1) He is equal with God in His person (vv. 17,18); 2) He is equal with God in His works (vv. 19, 20); 3) He is equal with God in His power and sovereignty (v. 21); 4) He is equal with God in His judgment (v. 22); and 5) He is equal with God in His honor (v. 23).396

At another occasion where Jesus again asserted His deity by calling Himself equal with God, the Jews picked up stones, accusing Him of blasphemy:

“My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.” The Jews took up stones again to stone Him. Jesus answered them, “I showed you many good works from the Father; for which of them are you stoning Me?” The Jews answered Him, “For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy; and because You, being a man, make Yourself out to be God” (John 10:29-33).

2) They also objected to His using the title “Messiah” or “Christ.” Again, they knew their theology and rightly understood that by using this title Jesus was claiming Himself to be the promised heir of David, who will sit on David’s throne and rule for eternity. As the Gospel of Mark notes:

Again the high priest was questioning Him, and saying to Him, “Are You the Christ, the Son of the Blessed One?” And Jesus said, “I am; and you shall see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of Power and coming with clouds of heaven.” And tearing his clothes, the high priest said, “What further need do we have of witnesses? You have heard the blasphemy; how does it seem to you?” And they all condemned Him to be deserving of death (Mark 14:61-64; also Matthew 26:63-66; Luke 22:67-71).

Another Messianic title that has been used for Jesus is “the Son of David.” It has been used 15 times in the 3 Synoptic gospels. Although Jesus Himself never used this title for Himself, the Pharisees and the scribes objected to other people using it for Him. During the triumphal entry, the crowd shouted “Hosanna to the Son of David; blessed is He who comes in the Name of the Lord” (Matthew 21:9). Then Matthew notes,

“But when the chief priests and the scribes saw the wonderful things that He had done, and the children who were crying out in the temple and saying, ‘Hosanna to the Son of David,’ they became indignant and said to Him, ‘Do You hear what these are saying?’” (Matthew 21:15, 16a).

What they meant to tell Him was that calling You the Son of David is blasphemy; why don’t You stop them?

3) The Pharisees and scribes objected to His claim of supremacy over and existence before Abraham. This was another occasion when they picked up stones to stone Him:

“Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day; and he saw it, and was glad.” The Jews therefore said to Him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham?” Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I AM.” Therefore they picked up stones to throw at Him; but Jesus hid Himself, and went out of the temple (John 8:56-59).

4) They objected to Jesus’ claim to have authority to forgive sins. Again, the scribes and the Pharisees knew their theology well. They rightly understood that only God, against Whom every sin has been committed, has the right to forgive sins and anyone who claims to have that right, or who tries to exercise that right, makes himself equal with God.

In the incident of the healing of the paralytic man, instead of telling him to rise up and walk, Jesus told him, “Your sins are forgiven you.” At this the scribes and the Pharisees began murmuring, “Who is this who speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?”And Jesus’ response was, “But in order that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins ” (Matthew 9:6; also Mark 2:7-10; Luke 5:21-24).

5) Because Jesus kept asserting His deity and making claims about His being equal to God the Father, the scribes and the Pharisees demanded that He provide them some proofs, some miraculous signs that would undoubtedly show that He was really who He was claiming Himself to be: God incarnate.

As Matthew, Mark, and Luke note:

Then some of the scribes and Pharisees answered Him, saying, “Teacher, we want to see a sign from you.” But He answered and said to them, “An evil and adulterous generation craves for a sign; and yet no sign shall be given to it but the sign of Jonah, the prophet” (Matthew 12:38-39; also Matthew 16:4; Mark 8:11-12; Luke 11:29).

Similarly, John notes:

They said therefore to Him, “What shall we do that we may work the works of God?” Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent.” They said therefore to Him, “What then do You do for a sign, that we may see, and believe You? What work do you perform? Our fathers ate manna in the wilderness; as it is written, He gave them bread out of heaven to eat” (John 6:28-31).

Like most of us, they wanted to see God in great and miraculous things, so when they saw God in the humble servant, even the great miracles Jesus performed did not matter, and they missed the blessing. And so they committed the unpardonable sin, the sin against the Holy Spirit:

Therefore I say to you, any sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven men, but blasphemy against the Sprit shall not be forgiven. And whoever shall speak a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him; but whoever shall speak against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, either in this age, or in the age to come (Matthew 12:31-32; also Mark 3:28-30; Luke 12:10).

So, the first of the two basic issues raised by the scribes and the Pharisees in their opposition to Jesus was their denial of the deity of Christ. They would not accept Christ’s claims as being equal to or one with God, the Father.

Dispute about His Relationship with Man

The second of the two most basic issues was about the way Christ related Himself to man.

1) He became a friend of “sinners.” Luke notes:

“Now all the tax-gatherers and the sinners were coming near Him to listen to Him. And both the Pharisees and the scribes began to grumble, saying, ‘This man receives sinners and eats with them’” (Luke 15:1-2).

This is where Jesus gave them various parables: the lost sheep, the lost coin, and the lost (prodigal) son, and spoke about “joy in heaven over one sinner who repents, than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance” (Luke 15:7).

All three of the Synoptic Gospels note the incident about Jesus having a feast at the house of Matthew, the tax collector turned disciple, and the Pharisees and the scribes grumbled about that:

And it came about that He was reclining at table at his [Matthew’s] house, and many tax-gatherers and sinners were dining with Jesus and His disciples; for there were many of them, and they were following Him. And when the scribes and the Pharisees saw that He was eating with the sinners and tax-gatherers, they began saying to His disciples, “Why is He eating and drinking with tax-gatherers and sinners?” And hearing this, Jesus said to them, “It is not those who are healthy who need a physician, but those who are sick; I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners” (Mark 2:15-17; also Matthew 9:10-12; Luke 5:29-30).

2) He did not observe their traditions. Another issue the Pharisees and the scribes raised in opposition to Jesus was that in His social relations He did not observe their traditions. When they saw some of the disciples eating bread without first washing their hands according to the Jewish tradition, the Pharisees and the scribes questioned Jesus, “Why do Your disciples not walk according to the traditions of the elders, but eat their bread with impure hands?” (Mark 7:5).

On one occasion when Jesus was invited to the home of a Pharisee and He began to eat without first washing His hands, “when the Pharisee saw it, he was surprised that He had not ceremonially washed before the meal” (Luke 11:37-38).

3) He violated their Sabbath views. Many of His miracles of healing were performed on Sabbaths, and the religious leaders saw in it the blatant disregard to the sacred Law.

When the Pharisees saw the disciples pick heads of grain and eat on a Sabbath day, they questioned Jesus, “Behold Your disciples do what is not lawful to do on a Sabbath” (Matthew 12:1-8; Mark 2:23-28; Luke 6:1-5).

When they saw a man with a withered hand in the synagogue, they asked Jesus, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath? – in order that they might accuse Him” (Matthew 12:10). Jesus’ answer was:

What man shall there be among you, who shall have one sheep, and if it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will he not take hold of it, and lift it out? Of how much more value then is a man than a sheep! So then, it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath (Matthew 12:11-12).

On another occasion when Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues on a Sabbath day and healed a woman, “who for eighteen years had a sickness caused by a spirit; and she was bent double and could not straighten up at all,” Luke notes:

And the synagogue official, indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, began saying to the multitude in response, “There are six days in which work should be done; therefore come during them and get healed, and not on the Sabbath day. But the Lord answered him and said, “You hypocrites, does not each of you on the Sabbath untie his ox or his donkey from the stall, and lead him away to water him? And this woman, a daughter of Abraham as she is, whom Satan has bound for eighteen long years, should she not have been released from this bond on the Sabbath day?” (Luke 13:14-16).

At one time Jesus healed a man on a Sabbath day even at the house of one of the leaders of the Pharisees:

And it came about when He went into a house of one of the leaders of the Pharisees on the Sabbath to eat break, that they were watching Him closely. And there, in front of Him was a certain man suffering from dropsy. And Jesus answered and spoke to the lawyers and Pharisees, saying, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath, or not?” But they kept silent. And He took hold of him, and healed him, and sent him away. And He said to them, “Which one of you shall have a son or an ox fall into a well, and will not immediately pull him out on a Sabbath day?” And they could make no reply to this (Luke 14:1-6).

The man lying sick at the pool of Bethesda was also healed on a Sabbath day and John notes,“For this reason the Jews were persecuting Jesus, because He was doing these things on the Sabbath” (John 5:16).

The healing of the man born blind was performed on a Sabbath day (John 9:14), and some of the Pharisees said, “This man is not from God, because He does not keep the Sabbath” (John 9:16).

It seems that Jesus intentionally performed many of the miracles of healing on the Sabbath day just to make a point with the religious leaders about their blindness of keeping the letter of the Law at the cost of what the Law really required. Jesus told the religious leaders in the context of the Sabbath dispute, “But if you had known what this means, ‘I desire compassion, and not a sacrifice,’ you would not have condemned the innocent’” (Matthew 12:7 with Hosea 6:6). And, “It is lawful to do good on the Sabbath” (Matthew 12:12). He asked them,

“If a man receives circumcision on the Sabbath that the Law of Moses may not be broken, are you angry with Me because I made an entire man well on the Sabbath? Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment” (John 7:23-24).

Another point Jesus wanted to make by repeatedly “breaking” the Sabbath is that He was above the Sabbath: “The Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath” (Mark 2:28; Luke 6:5). By continuing His work on the Sabbath, He wanted to show Himself as equal with God. When the Jews were persecuting Him because He was doing these things on the Sabbath, His answer was:

“My Father is working until now, and I Myself am working.” For this cause therefore the Jews were seeking all the more to kill Him, because He not only was breaking the Sabbath, but also was calling God His Father, making Himself equal with God (John 5:17-18).

So, they questioned His deity, and they objected to His service to humanity. Thus they violated the “golden” rule:

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and foremost commandment. And the second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets (Matthew 22:37-40).

Prophesying to be wise, they became fools. Prophesying to be religious, they became godless. Prophesying to be righteous, they became evil. And the result was their outward show of religiosity with an inward void of spirituality.

For this reason Jesus condemned all their good works: their almsgiving (Matthew 6:2), their prayers (Matthew 6:5), their fasting (Matthew 6:16-18) and their tithing (Matthew 23:23). All these good works were performed for one purpose—to show off. All these practices brought pride for self and contempt for others, as seen in the incident of the tax-gatherer and the Pharisee praying together (Luke 18:9-14). But inside they were like white-washed tombs:

Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which on the outside appear beautiful, but inside they are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness. Even so you too outwardly appear righteous to men, but inwardly you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness (Matthew 23:27-28, and the rest of the chapter).

Who Is a Pharisee in My Life?

You see, all of us live with a Pharisee! It is not your spouse, not your neighbor, or a friend or a co-worker. No, it is not even your church leaders. The Pharisee we all live with is the capital “I.”

As we condemn pharisaism, let us be careful to see the log in our own eyes. What is our attitude in worship? In good works? What is our attitude towards others? Is it judgmental? Am I putting myself first in everything? Am I always finding faults in others and never accepting my own? Am I always critical and negative, or, loving, kind, and understanding?

The golden rule of the Old Testament, to love the Lord your God and love your neighbor as yourself, was reiterated by Jesus in stark contrast to the pharisaism of the day (Matthew 22:37-40).

Remember the definition of pharisaism? It is making a value judgment on someone else based on my own assumed secure position. But before we make a value judgment on someone else, we need to check our own position to see how secure it is, because you may be very sincere, and yet sincerely wrong.

The Ecumenical Movement – The Towel of Babel

The first attempt to establish a New World Order, One World Religion was by a united humanity of the generations following the Great Flood, speaking a single language and migrating from the east, who came to the land of Shinar and built the Tower of Babel (Genesis 11).

Bab-il has a very interesting eytomology. The word Babel is from the Hebrew Ba-bhel, from Akkadian ba-b-ilu “gate of god.” Bab is the semitic word for gateway or portal and el means deity or god. So Bab-il means gate or portal to god.

These people were attempting to unite into a powerful ecumenical force, building their tower as a monument to a human “gate of god”. Genesis 11:5-9 describes God’s reaction to this early attempt.

Babel is the name used in the Hebrew Bible for the city of Babylon, and is referenced numerous times in the book of Revelation (Revelation 16:19; Revelation 17:5; Revelation 18:2, Revelation 18:10, Revelation 18:21).

While many connect this end-time Babylon with the Roman Church and there may be some legitimate connection, I see this Babylon in a larger context represented by an end-time ecumenical religion embracing not only Roman Catholicism but apostate Protestants and other apostate religions.

Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen

Babylon is depicted as a prostitute (Rev. 17:1) with whom the kings of the earth committed adultery and the inhabitants of the earth were intoxicated with the wine of her adulteries., “a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was covered with blasphemous names and had seven heads and ten horns” (Rev. 17:3), and “a great city that rules over the kings of the earth” (Rev. 17:18).

She is identified as Babylon (Rev. 18:10) or mankind’s last act of defiance against God to build a “gate of god” that will be met with a more permanent fate than their earlier attempt at the Tower of Babel.

Revelation 18 (KJV)

18 And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.

And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.

For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.

Conforming the Church to the New World Order

“We restored the vital center, replacing outdated ideologies with a new vision anchored in basic, enduring values: opportunity for all, responsibility from all, and a community of all Americans…. We must shape a 21st Century American revolution – of opportunity, responsibility, and community. … a new nation.” President Clinton, 2000 State of the Union message.

“One Church for One World.” World Council of Churches , 1948

“. . . change will probably be radical, if not total.  Those whose lives are dedicated to serving the Church of the past will resist these suggestions with a vehemence that always emerges from threatened hierarchies and dying institutions…. But the seeds of resurrection are present in the exile, and in time those seeds will sprout and bloom. When they do, we will once again be able to see continuity between the Church of the past and the purged and opened church of the future.”  Episcopal Bishop John Shelby Spong, Why Christianity Must Change or die

The destruction of ‘Babylon’, a city

In the Book of Revelation, the destruction of ‘Babylon’, a city which seems to be a symbol of every kind of evil, is foretold. The connection with the actual historical city of Babylon is usually held to be metaphorical. It may be that “Babylon” is used here as a metaphor, dysphemism, or ‘code word’ for the power of the Roman Empire,[1] which was oppressing the nascent church much as the Babylonian empire had oppressed the Jewish people in Old Testament times; with the reason given usually being that it was not considered safe or prudent to speak openly against Rome. The Two Kingdoms – The Ecumenical Movement

The Ecumenical Movement is a strategy masterminded by the Papacy in the early 1960’s to strengthen so-called Christian Unity, to bring every Christian in every denomination and church under the control of the Pope. Protestant North America is leading out in this Christian apostasy and only those who learn to totally depend on God will be able to resist.

A strategy masterminded by the Papacy

The build up is getting closer and closer and while many Christians in theWest complain of persecution by the secular powers, they are unaware that there biggest resistance will be among their own fellow Christians.

The Modern Church Apostasy & Ecumenical Movement

This Ecumenical movement that has been underway since the times of constantine, is most certainly the iron in the midst of the ten toes of clay in the statue that Daniel saw in his prophecy of the ends times. this is and must be made clear to the masses to understand the difference between the two gospels, one is the true GOSPEL which THE LORD JESUS CHRIST preached and the Apostles one of power and repentance and radical sacrifice VS todays ecumenical movement which should be a clear farce, but the problem is is that masses are following this gospel not because they havent been warned but because their deeds are evil and would rather have darkness rather than light. they love not the truth have received the strong delusion promised from God which is yes from the true God but it isnt the blessing of God it is the FINAL JUDGEMENT of GOD on HIS VERY OWN PEOPLE for not heeding the true call of the gospel.

The Ecumenical Movement Building the False World Church

“The attainment of the ‘Coming Great Church,’ proclaiming one Gospel to the whole world … implies the surrender of distinctive evangelical truth … The one Gospel to be preached certainly will not be the Gospel of salvation through the exclusive merits of Christ …”(1)

“Already we can see the beginning stages of what the Bible prophesies. An incredible worldwide delusion is gathering momentum.”(2)

When the Word of God is not accepted as the final and complete revelation of God to man, when it is not the basis for faith, life and doctrine, when the very foundation of Christianity, namely the Bible, is denied, then compromise and confusion is a natural result. That such a result is not an accidental outcome, but rather a deliberate strategy of the Ecumenical Movement, with its ultimate aim of bringing about a world-church, shall be revealed.

Ecumenism sets aside the authority of the Bible, doctrinal differences become blurred and the distinction between truth and error becomes irrelevant in this quest for spiritual unity. In this venture to establish a world religion, the World Council of Churches can be seen as the headquarters, whereas the Ecumenical Movement comprises the ground-troops in the field of battle.

”…the unity of all faiths into a super world-church for all people…”

The word “ecumenical” comes from the Greek word, which means “the inhabited world.” The Ecumenical Movement had its inception in 1910 at the World Missionary Conference in Edinburgh, England. From this conference the growing desire for unity among churches was kept alive and eventually led to the inauguration of the World Council of Churches in Amsterdam in 1948. The World Council of Churches can rightly be regarded as the visible expression of ecumenism. Where initially the emphasis of ecumenism was to bring about a visible, outward Christian unity, by removing divisions between the churches, its hidden agenda, which it had since its conception, is now openly propagated, namely the unity of all faiths into a super world-church for all people.

“The genius behind the World Council of Churches has been liberal Protestantism. Its exponents do not accept the full inspiration and authority of the Word of God. They have no sure standard of reference. Thus it is only a step further to think of Christianity as a whole to be itself but an insight into an even larger Truth. That which is best in non-Christian religions may find a place with Christianity at length in the gradual development of a World-Faith…”(3)

On 19 June 1955, a “Festival of Faith” was held in San Francisco with its theme, “The United Nations and World Faith.” Those who took part in this festival included “Christians,” Hindus, Jews, Moslems, Buddhists and some other faiths. The service The service was conducted by Reverend O. Frederick Nolde, a Lutheran minister from Philadelphia. He was also the Director of the Commission of churches on International Affairs of the World Council of Churches at that time.

From 7 – 20 February 1991, the General Assembly of the World Council of Churches took place in Canberra, Australia. During the opening sessions the delegates had to move through smoke made by burning gum leaves, which is a heathen cleansing ritual of the Aborigines, and was compared to the cleansing and refining fire of the Holy Spirit. During one of the sessions, one of the speakers, a South Korean feminist theologian, professor Chung Hyun Kyung, called up the spirits of the many people in history who had died at the hands of oppressors. She linked these “Han-spirits” with the Holy Spirit and holding up a list of names of these spirits, ritually burned it. At this conference, mission work was said to be a waste of time as God cannot be taken anywhere, because, according to the conference, He is already everywhere. It was also added that all claims of uniqueness, as for instance, that Jesus is the only way to God, or that Christianity is the only true religion, are harmful in a world of religious pluralism.

William Jasper, in his book,“Global Tyranny Step by Step,” says the following of the June 1992 United Nations Earth Summit which was held in Brazil:

“True, there were also ‘Christian’ participants in the summit celebrations. Ministers from the World Council of Churches and Catholic clerics such as Dom Helder Camarra (known as Brazil’s Red Archbishop because of his blatantly pro-communist sympathies) could be found amidst the cymbal-clanging Hare Chrishnas, diapered swamis, saffron-robed gurus, and witch-doctors in loincloths. But they were there because of their affinity for an ecumenical ‘spirit’ that promotes an anti-Christian and syncretistic blend of Christianity and paganism.”(4)

It is also interesting to see that whenever different religions come together, there the representative hand of the Roman Catholic Church is seen in one way or another. The director of International Programs of the United Nations of World Religions, is Louis M. Dolan, a Catholic priest. The Geneva-based World Conference on Religion and Peace, with its aim of bringing all the major religions together, had for its first eight years as President, the Catholic Archbishop Angelo Fernandes. At the 1993 Parliament of World Religions, the Roman Catholic Cardinal Joseph Bernadin, together with the Delai Lama (the Tibetan man-god), were amongst the signatories of a declaration that called for greater co-operation between different faiths.

“Roman Catholicism is proving to be the bridge that brings together all faiths. That fact alone is not surprising, but it is astonishing to see evangelical Christians stepping onto that bridge on the one end while at the same time Hindus, Buddhists, and pagans of every stripe are stepping onto it from the other … it will not be long until all sides meet in the middle.”(5)

While on the one hand the pope and the Roman Catholic Church are bringing other non-Christian faiths under its wing, it is also endeavouring to bring back to its fold the so-called “separated brethren,” i.e. those Christian groups who, through the Reformation, had left the Roman Catholic institution. They are not seen as “heretics” anymore, but rather as lost or separated brethren of the one true faith, who must be brought back into the fold of the only true Church, which is not only Catholic, but Roman Catholic. A newspaper article in 1989 carried the following heading:

“Runcie, Pope sign pledge to unite churches.”

“Vatican City – Archbishop of Canterbury Robert Runcie and Pope John Paul signed a joint declaration yesterday on which they pledged to work to reunite the Anglican and Roman Catholic Churches.”(6)

The one thing that must be remembered, is that although the Roman Catholic Church, under its Pope and priests, are working towards bring other Christian Churches and other faiths together, it has stated time and again that it will never change or compromise its own theological stand or doctrines. It is willing to accommodate other faiths, but always under its authority and unchanging Roman Catholic teaching. Rome has no desire or intent to compromise. Indeed, it does not have to, because, as we have seen, its teachings and doctrines are a mixture of Christian and heathen practices anyway. In a newspaper article of the Sunday Times of 29 May 1994, the following was reported:

“The Vatican has been urged to accept ancestor worship in Africa…

“The Vatican has been urged to accept ancestor worship in Africa as part of a move towards embracing cultural practices previously condemned by the Roman Catholic Church. Fourteen cardinals and 122 bishops from Africa met in Rome from mid-April to mid-May with members of the Vatican bureaucracy in a special synod to discuss the state of the church on the continent. They called for more ‘inculturation’ through the Africanisation of liturgy and church values; and discussed dialogue with other denominations and faiths, and evangelisation within the African context. The synod suggested ancestor worship should be reinterpreted and viewed along lines similar to veneration of the saints.”(7)

“Pope calls for closer ties with Muslims”

Other newspaper headings and articles continue to confirm the ecumenical effort of the Roman Catholic Church: “Pope calls for closer ties with Muslims” (The Star, 17 April 1996), “The main features of the document the Pope would deliver to the bishops were those of bringing the church closer … to other faiths” (The Citizen, 11 September 1995), “In a statement released on June 1, 1998, 550 high church Anglican clergymen called for unity with Rome under the primacy of the Pope” (Bible Based Ministries Newsletter, June/July 1988, No. 33), “The Anglican Archbishop of Canterbury, George Carey, said on August 3, that the prospects for eventual union between the Roman Catholic and Anglican institutions are good” (Southern Cross, September 1, 1991).

The continuous call from the Roman Catholic Church to all other denominations is to return to “… true unity, under one shepherd of the one flock … (and) the seven sacraments”(7) By this, of course, they mean the “one shepherd” to be the Roman Catholic Pope, and the “one flock” the Roman Catholic Church.

The Ecumenical Movement is un-Biblical and anti-Christian. It has come far in establishing its goals. In his newsletter “Gospel Defence League” of August 1995, D Scarborough makes the following observation:

“The International Fellowship of Christian Churches (IFCC), the Dutch Reformed Church, and the Salvation Army have recently joined the South African Council of Churches (SACC) as observer members, and the Roman Catholic Church as a full member. There are no theological objections to joining the SACC and becoming a satellite church of the World Council of Churches? … Has the Ecumenical Movement … turned from the inter-faith movement with its downgrading of Christianity? … The South African Council of Churches (and its mother-body, the World Council of Churches), is heavily committed to the Inter-faith Movement, the New Age Movement, the New World Order and the One World Government.”

Isn’t it time to take an honest look again at the Gospel truths of the Word of God? Unless we take a stand on the eternal truths of the Word of God, we will be dragged along into the compromising and confusing flow of ecumenical deception and ultimate destruction. To those who will stay true to the Word of God the following will apply:

“I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my Word and have not denied my Name … Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world to test those who live on the earth” (Revelation 3:8b,10).

To those who are caught up, through their church affiliation, in the Ecumenical Movement, the Word of God says plainly: “Come out of her, My people, so that you will not share in her sins, so that you will not receive any of her plagues …” (Revelation 18:4).

Pope seeks closer ties among Christians, Jews and Muslims (2014)

Pope Francis embraces Argentine Rabbi Abraham Skorka

POPE Francis spent the last morning of his three-day pilgrimage to the Holy Land meeting with Muslims and Jews and calling for closer relations among the three major monotheistic religions as the basis for peace in the region.

At his first appearance on May 26, Pope Francis toured the Dome of the Rock on the Temple Mount, sacred to Muslims as the place from which Mohammed ascended to heaven. The Pope spoke to Muslim leaders there.

Addressing his listeners as “brothers” – rather than “friends,” as indicated in his prepared text – the Pope pointed to Abraham as a common model for Muslims, Jews and Christians, since he was a pilgrim who left “his own people and his own house in order to embark on that spiritual journey to which God called him”.

“We must constantly be prepared to go out from ourselves, docile to God’s call”, especially “his summons to work for peace and justice, to implore these gifts in prayer and to learn from on high mercy, magnanimity and compassion”, the Pope said.

In his remarks to the Pope, the grand mufti of Jerusalem Muhammad Ahmad Hussein accused Israel of impeding Muslims’ access to Jerusalem’s holy sites.

Pope Francis then visited the Western Wall, the only standing part of the foundation of the Second Temple, destroyed in 70 AD.

The Pope stood for more than a minute and a half with his right hand against the wall, most of the time in silent prayer, before reciting the Our Father. Then he followed custom by leaving a written message inside a crack between two blocks.

Rabbi Abraham Skorka, a longtime friend of the Pope from Buenos Aires and an official member of the papal entourage, said the Pope’s message contained the text of the Our Father and of the 122nd Psalm, traditionally prayed by Jewish pilgrims who travel to Jerusalem.

Stepping away from the wall, the Pope simultaneously embraced Rabbi Skorka and Omar Abboud, a Muslim leader from Buenos Aires and a member of the papal entourage.

“We did it,” Rabbi Skorka said he told the Pope and Mr Abboud.

The Pope also visited a memorial to victims of terrorism, a stop that had not appeared on his original itinerary. It was added at the request of Israeli authorities, in reaction to his spontaneous decision the previous day to pray at Israel’s separation barrier in the West Bank.

The separation wall, which Israel says it needs to protect itself from terrorism, has been a target of Palestinian protests and international condemnation. At the terrorism memorial, the Pope prayed with his hand against the stone, the same gesture he used at the separation wall and at the Western Wall.

Following a brief wreath-laying at the grave of Theodor Herzl, father of the Zionist movement that led to Israel’s founding, Pope Francis visited the Yad Vashem Memorial to victims of the Holocaust. There he greeted half a dozen survivors of the Nazi genocide, kissing their hands in honour.

“He took my hand in his two hands and kissed my hand. I was dumbfounded. I never had a rabbi do that,” Joe Gottdenker of Toronto told Catholic News Service.

Mr Gottdenker, who was rescued as a baby by a Polish Catholic couple, said he “was moved much more than I had even anticipated”.

In his remarks at Yad Vashem, the Pope echoed and elaborated on God’s words to Adam after the fall, asking: “Who convinced you that you were god? Not only did you torture and kill your brothers and sisters, but you sacrificed them to yourself, because you made yourself a god.”

“Grant us the grace to be ashamed of what we men have done,” the Pope prayed, “to be ashamed of this massive idolatry, of having despised and destroyed our own flesh which you formed from the earth, to which you gave life with your own breath of life.”

Pope Francis’ next stop was a visit to the two chief rabbis of Israel, leaders of the country’s Sephardic and Ashkenazi communities. The Pope told them relations between Jews and Catholics had progressed greatly in the half century since the Second Vatican Council, which declared that Jews were not collectively responsible for the death of Jesus and that God’s covenant with them had never been abrogated.

Pope Francis called on Christians and Jews to develop greater appreciation for their common “spiritual heritage”, through deeper knowledge of each other’s faith, especially among the young.

The Pope’s public appearances for the morning ended with a visit to President Shimon Peres at his official residence, where the Pope greeted and blessed a group of children with cancer and planted an olive tree in the garden as a symbol of peace.

The Pope told Mr Peres he wanted to “invent a new beatitude, which I apply to myself, ‘Blessed is the one welcomed into the home of a wise and good man’”.

It was only the latest sign of the Pope’s friendship with Peres, who invited him to Israel shortly after the start of his pontificate. At Yad Vashem, the Pope greeted other dignitaries with a handshake but gave the president a warm embrace.

In his address at the presidential palace, Pope Francis praised Mr Peres as a “man of peace and a peacemaker”, and, as the Pope had done the previous day to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, asked that “all parties avoid initiatives and actions which contradict their stated determination” to end the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

The Pope also stressed the “universal and cultural significance” of Jerusalem, and its importance to Christians, Muslims and Jews.

“How good it is when pilgrims and residents enjoy free access to the holy places and can freely take part in religious celebrations,” he said.

As in his speeches to Mr Abbas and to the king of Jordan over the previous two days, Pope Francis also spoke up for the local Christian community, telling Mr Peres its members wished to “contribute to the common good and the growth of peace”, and thus deserved to be “full-fledged citizens” of Israel.

2 Peter 3:11-16 (KJV)

11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;

16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

Revelation 14:6-13 (KJV)

And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,

Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.

And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,

10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.

Revelation 1:18King James Version (KJV)

18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

The Rise of Corrupt Preachers / False prophets

“But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of truth will be blasphemed. And in their greed they will exploit you with false words. Their condemnation from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.” 2 Peter 2:1-3

John Piper Praises Rapper of Controversial ‘Fal$E Teacher$’ Song

Retired pastor John Piper of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Minneapolis, Minn., had high praises for Christian rapper Shai Linne for his defense of his new song “Fal$E Teacher$” in which he gives a withering criticism of the “prosperity gospel” and an explicit list of some of its more popular preachers like Joel Osteen, T.D. Jakes and Benny Hinn.

“Fal$E Teacher$” is a song on Linne’s upcoming album titled, Lyrical Theology Part I.

“My, my, Shai, this is good. Seven-minute video on why Shai Linne wrote and raps ‘FAL$E TEACHER$’,” tweeted Piper along with a link to Linne’s video where he discusses the motivation behind the song.

In the video Linne explained that he was inspired to tackle the “prosperity gospel” in the song after receiving mail from some of his fans in Africa discussing the wave of prosperity preachers on the continent whose actions have been hurting desperately poor people.

False Teachers by Shai Linne NEW SONG + Lyrics – Fal$e Teacher$

“[The prosperity gospel has] been embraced,” he further explained in an interview with WADE-O RADIO. “You have these rallies where literally over 100,000 people will come to hear these guys talk about prosperity. The people who are coming are impoverished like crazy and they’re buying into it thinking that this false theology is going to be their way out of poverty. They figure, ‘Hey, it must work because it’s working for these guys in America.'”

Noted social justice advocate and progressive evangelical Jim Wallis also ripped into the “prosperity gospel” last Friday when James Arinaitwe, a Yale University global health fellow from Uganda, highlighted the same issue during a discussion about Wallis’ new book promoting the concept of the common good.

“…Christians in the evangelical movement preach love your neighbors as you love yourself but then the pastor is driving a BMW, a Benz and is living by the sea in a mansion while the congregation is living without healthcare or food. This is what I see in Uganda when I go home, so where did we lose that peace?” Arinaitwe asked Wallis in his comments.

“The prosperity gospel that you are talking about, let me be as clear as I can be. The prosperity gospel is a heresy. It’s a heresy. It’s not found in the Gospels. It’s only found in affluent countries or among the elites of churches tied to affluent countries,” said Wallis.

The complete list of prosperity preachers tagged in Linne’s song include: Joel Osteen, Creflo Dollar, Benny Hinn, T.D. Jakes, Joyce Meyer, Paula White, Fred Price, Kenneth Copeland, Robert Tilton, Eddie Long, Juanita Bynum and Paul Crouch.

“Don’t be deceived by this funny biz, if you come to Jesus for money, then he’s not your God, money is! Jesus is not a means to an end, the Gospel is He came to redeem us from sin, and that is the message forever I yell! If you’re living your best life now you’re heading for hell!” raps Linne in “Fal$E Teacher$.”

“Turn off TBN that channel is overrated. The pastors speak bogus statements, financially motivated. It’s kind of like a pyramid scheme. Visualize heretics Christianizing the American dream. It’s foul and deceitful, they’re lying to people, teaching that camels squeeze through the eye of a needle!” he further notes in the song.

shai linne talks about his song “Fal$e Teacher$

He ends it dramatically with a reading from 2 Peter 2: 1-3 which says:

But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

Fal$E Teacher$’ Song

One two one two, Yo!
Special dedication to my brothers and sisters on the great continent of Africa
To Saints in Malawi, Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, Zimbabwe.
Don’t be deceived by what America is sending y’all man, yeh?

Let me begin, while there is still ink left in my pen,
I am set to contend for Truth you can bet will offend,
Deception within the church man, who’s letting them in?
We talked about this years ago, let’s address it again. (Yeh)
And I ain’t really trying to start beef, but some who claim to be part of his sheep got some sharp teeth.(they’re wolves)

You cast at me when you criticize them when you criticize them, but Jesus told us: Matthew 7:16, we can recognize them!
And God forbid that for the love of some fans, I keep quiet and watch them die with their blood on my hands!
(so…)There’s nothing left for me to do except to speak to you in the spirit of Jude 3 and 2 Peter 2
And I know that some would label me a Pharisee, because today the only heresy is saying that there’s heresy:
“How dare they be specific and drop some clarity on the popularity of the gospel of Prosperity”

Turn off TBN that channel is overrated. The Pastor’s speak bogus statements, financially motivated. It’s kind of like a pyramid scheme. Visualize Heretics christianizing the American dream.
It’s foul and deceitful, they’re lying to people, teaching that camels squeeze through the eye of a needle!
Ungodly and wicked, ask yourself how can they not be convicted treating Jesus like a lottery ticket.
And you’re thinking they’re not the dangerous type because some of their statements are right,
they’re only proof that Satan comes as an angel of light.
This teaching can’t be believed without a cost, the lie is you can achieve a crown without a cross
And I hear it all the time when they speak on the block
Even unbelievers are shocked how they’re fleecing the flock
It should be obvious then, yet I’ll explain why it’s Sin, peep the Bible it’s in 1 Timothy 6:9-10
It talks about how the desire for riches has left many souls on fire and stitches mired in ditches
Tell me, who would teach you to pursue as a goal the very thing that the Bible said will ruin your soul! (huh?)

Yet they’re encouraging the love of money,
to make it worse, they’ve exported this garbage into other countries!
My heart breaks even now as I am rhyming. Do you wanna know what all false teachers have in common?(what?)
It’s called self(ism) the fastest growing religion; they just dress it up and call it “Christian”.
Don’t be deceived by this funny biz, if you come to Jesus for money, then he’s not your God, money is!

Jesus is not a means to an end, the Gospel is He came to redeem us from sin, and that is the message forever I’ll yell!
If you’re living your best life now you’re heading for hell!

(Talk to them)
Joel Osteen – false teacher!
(Let them know)
Creflo Dollar is a false teacher!
(Who else? Who else?)
Benny Hinn is a false teacher!
I know they’re popular but don’t let them deceive ya!
(Talk to them)
TD Jakes is a false teacher!
(Tell the Truth)
Joyce Meyer is a false teacher!
(Let them know)
Paula White is a false teacher!
Use your discernment, let the Bible lead ya!
(Keep going)
Fred Price is a false teacher!
(Tell the Truth)
Kenneth Copland is a false teacher!
(Who else? Who else?)
Robert Tilton is a false teacher!
I know they’re popular but don’t let them deceive ya!
(Talk to them)
Eddie Long is a false teacher!
(Let them know)
Juanita Bynum is a false teacher!
(Who else? Who else?)
Paul Crouch is a false teacher!
Use your discernment, let the Bible lead ya!

“But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction. Rapper Shai Linne Refutes Paula White Ministries’

Response to ‘Fal$e Teacher$’

In a detailed open letter on Wednesday, controversial rapper Shai Linne refuted a response from Brad Knight, manager and son of popular televangelist Paula White, which chided him for tagging his mother as a prosperity preacher in the lyrics of his song “Fal$e Teacher$.”

In a long letter published by Wade-O Radio, Linne first commends Knight for defending his mother and praises his commitment to his faith in God, but quickly tells him that the response he wrote on behalf of Paula White Ministries did not address the concerns he raised about the “prosperity gospel” in “Fal$e Teacher$.”

“My song was not about you, your financial status, the genuineness of your faith, your mother’s prayers for you or the good things that Paula White Ministries does. The song was about the false doctrine that Paula White and others have publicly taught for many years and continue to teach,” wrote Linne in his letter.

He then responds with scholarly detail, pointing to video and other evidence as sufficient for Ms. White’s listing in “Fal$e Teacher$.” He pointed to her “false view of atonement,” her “false ‘sow a seed’ teaching” and her “falsely claiming to speak for God.”

“As I’m sure you know, Brad, God takes speaking in His name very seriously. To say that God said something that He didn’t say is to lie on God. God takes this sin so seriously that in the Old Testament, the person found guilty of this was to be executed,” said Linne in his discussion of White’s claim to speak for God.

“As sincere as Paula White may be, she is extremely reckless in the many false things that she says God told her to tell her listeners. The videos I provided are enough. Just go back and listen to how often she says God is saying something that He could not possibly be saying to everyone listening to her at the time. ‘You are not going to die of sickness’ is just one of many examples I could give. Sadly, her teaching is characterized by this falsehood. She and the other people I mentioned in the song do this all the time,” wrote Linne.

In his now popularly received critique of the “prosperity gospel,” which has drawn praise from high profile pastors and theologians like John Piper, Linne lists several popular televangelists as “Fal$e Teacher$.” They include: Joel Osteen, Creflo Dollar, Benny Hinn, T.D. Jakes, Joyce Meyer, Fred Price, Kenneth Copeland, Robert Tilton, Eddie Long, Juanita Bynum and Paul Crouch.

Linne explained in an earlier report that he was inspired to write the song after he received emails from his fans in Africa who alerted him to the devastation proponents of the “prosperity gospel” were causing among the poor in several African countries.

Deception In The Church – A Call for Discernment – Justin Peters

A Call for Discernment – False Prophets Exposed

Justin Peters Ministries – “A Call for Discernment” is a Biblical Critique of the Word of Faith Movement (more commonly known as the Health and Wealth or Prosperity Gospel).

A Call for Discernment Session 1 – Dangerous Doctrine

Visit Justin Peter Website

This video is a recording of Justin Peter’s presentation at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. It is not, of course, A Call for Discernment in its entirety, but rather a brief overview of it in which Rev. Peters presents a few highlights from each of the three primary sessions.

In addition to expository preaching, another aspect of Justin’s ministry is the three session seminar which he has developed entitled A Call for Discernment. This seminar is a fair, comprehensive, biblical critique of the modern Word of Faith movement. Word of Faith theology (WoF) dominates Christian satellite and cable television and is making alarming inroads into more theologically conservative, evangical churches. This seminar contains dozens of audio and video clips (primarily the latter) of various WoF leaders such as Benny Hinn, Kenneth and Gloria Copeland, Jessie Duplantis, Joyce Meyer, Joel Osteen, T. D. Jakes, Creflo Dollar, Eddie Long, – Benny Hinn, Frederick K.C. Price, Jan and Paul Crouch, K.A. Paul, Paula And Randy White, Mike Murdock, Rod Parsley, John Hagee, etc. etc. incorporated into a PowerPoint format. This format allows people to see and hear for themselves what these individuals are actually teaching. Everything then is, in turn, balanced with Scripture.

Each session is approximately 70 to 75 minutes in length. A Call for Discernment can be structured and scheduled according to the desires of the pastor or conference organizer.

Life After Death?

The namesake of the oldest book in the Bible, Job, asked the question, “If a man die, shall he live again?” (Job 14:14) The question of life after death has occupied the thoughts of man for all of his history. Just the fact that you are now reading this text bears witness to the fact that this most universal of all questions has occupied your thoughts as well.

Dear friend, allow me to share with you what God’s Word has to teach us about this subject. The Bible (both Old and New Testaments) gives us abundant evidence that man was created by God to live eternally. The sense of eternity is universal; a general belief in man’s mortal present but immortal future can be found in all cultures throughout the world. The question is, then, ‘What happens when I die?’

Session 2 – Mangled Manifestations

Most people today believe that if, generally speaking, they are a good person then they will go to Heaven. In other words, if their good deeds outweigh their bad deeds, or, as long as they sincerely try to live a good life, then God will accept them.

There is actually some truth to this. If a person dies and truly is a good and righteous person, then he is assured of an eternity in Heaven. There’s just one problem, though: the Bible makes it quite clear that there are no inherently good people. Romans 3:10 states, “There is none righteous, no not one.”

I know, I know. It sounds very brash and harsh to claim that there are no good people to be found anywhere. After all, one may wonder, ‘What about people like Mother Theresa, Gandhi, or Billy Graham? Weren’t (or in the latter case, aren’t) they good people? Well, by human standards I would be the first to answer that question with a resounding Yes. Though I would disagree with some of them on some theological issues, I would say that all of them were, or are, humble people who consistently placed others above themselves. History will look kindly on all of these individuals as being selfless people with high moral standards and personal integrity.

A Call for Discernment Session 3 – The Hurt of Healing

The problem, though, lies in the fact that God does not judge us by man’s standards, He judges us by His. What exactly are those standards? They are, very simply, the 10 Commandments. If a man could live by all of the 10 Commandments perfectly throughout his life, then he would indeed be a good person by God’s standards and be assured of eternity in Heaven. I invite you to look with me at the 10 Commandments and as we progress, evaluate yourself to see if you measure up to God’s standards.

The Ten Commandments

1. Thou shalt have no other gods before Me

This commandment is not only an injunction not to worship other deities before the true God, Yahweh. It also means that nothing in our lives should ever take priority over God and His will. Has there ever been a time in your life in which something or someone was, even for a moment, more important to you than God? Has God always been your top priority and greatest love?

2. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven images

If you are reading this, you probably do not have a statue of Buddha or of some other pagan god sitting somewhere in your home that you worship. In the clear, right? Well, not so fast. If you believe things about God that are not supported by Scripture (for example, that God will accept you as long as you ‘try to be a good person’) then you are not worshipping the true God. You have made a god out of your own image. This is called idolatry and is a serious sin.

3. Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain

God takes His good name very seriously. Have you ever misused God’s name in a vulgar or even flippant way? This is called blasphemy.

4. Remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy

Though we should love and serve God every day, He has set aside one day a week for special worship of and service to Him. Has there ever been a Sabbath day in which you slept in or maybe went fishing or to a ballgame instead of going to church?

5. Honor thy father and thy mother

Have you ever disobeyed or dishonored your parents? Have you ever lied to them (and thereby broke two commandments at once)?

6. Thou shalt not murder

Most of us have not actually killed another person. Off the hook, right? Well, the Bible teaches that “Whoever hateth his brother is a murderer” (1 John 3:15). Have you ever hated another individual?

7. Thou shalt not commit adultery

Like many of the Ten Commandments, this one encapsulates more than one might expect just at face value. Jesus said, “whoever looketh upon a woman with lust has committed adultery with her in his heart.” Have you ever looked at a woman with lust? If you are a lady, have you ever done this toward a man?

8. Thou shalt not steal

Have you ever stolen anything regardless of its value?

9. Thou shalt not lie

Who among us has not lied?

10. Thou shalt not covet

This means that we should not desire any possession of another individual whether it be his home, vehicle, boat, wife, social status, prestige – anything.

So, how did you do? If you are anything like me, you probably did not do too well. If you are really honest with yourself, I think that you will find that at one time or another you have broken most, if not all, of God’s commandments. Even if we break only one, it is the same as breaking them all (James 2:10). By God’s standards, then, we are all liars, thieves, idolaters, basphemers, and adulterers. We have all at one time or another dishonored our parents, disregarded the Sabbath, coveted another’s possessions, and not put God first in our lives. So you see, by God’s standards, we are not as good as we might have imagined. The fact of the matter is, we are all sinners (Romans 3:23).

The Consequences of Sin

Almost all people to whom I have shared the Gospel will in fact admit they are sinners upon hearing and understanding the 10 Commandments, but many fail to recognize the gravity of their sin. Some believe that God will just overlook their sin. Others have this notion that God will grade on a curve and reward them because they are not as bad as a, say, Hitler or Stalin or Pol Pot. Friend, if this is your idea of God, let me say that I love you enough to tell you you are wrong – dead wrong. All sin, no matter how insignificant it may seem to us, is an affront to a holy God. The Bible teaches that “The wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23). This death is a spiritual death and results in eternal separation from God. Please understand, dear one, that this eternal death is not just missing out on Heaven, it is eternal conscious suffering in a very real place the Bible calls Hell. Sin has eternal consequences because it is committed against an eternal God. Once a person enters Hell, there are no second chances, his fate is eternally and tragically sealed.

The Good News

The word “Gospel” means “good news.” The Good News of the Gospel is that God does not want you to go to Hell and loves you enough to have provided a Way of escape. His name is Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of the living God. Jesus came to earth as fully God and fully man and was the only One to have ever lived a perfect, sinless life. Jesus then willingly laid down His life for us by dying on a Roman cross. He was crucified to pay the penalty of your sins and mine. He became the offering for our sins and therefore satisfied the demands of God’s justice.

But God demonstrates His own love toward us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us – Romans 5:8

Then, on the morning of the third day, something amazing happened. God raised Jesus from the dead. All four gospels bear witness to this miraculous event. Jesus was raised and showed Himself very much alive to the disciples and apostles and to more than five hundred at once (1 Corinthians 15:3-7). The bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ is the single most well-attested event in all of ancient history and testifies to the deity of Jesus. The resurrection sets Jesus apart from all other “religious leaders” who came before Him or since.

By being raise from the dead, Jesus has gained victory over sin, death and Hell. He is alive today and stands ready to forgive anyone of his sins who will confess with his mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in his heart that God has raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). Jesus and Jesus alone can forgive one of his sins and secure for him escape from Hell and an eternity in Heaven. That is the Good News.

Your Response

According to the Word of God, dear friend, what you decide about Jesus will determine where you spend eternity. No one can earn his salvation by good works (Ephesians 2:8-9). If we could somehow earn God’s favor, then the cross is empty and meaningless. We are forgiven of our sins when we first realize that we are sinners and in need of saving. Then, for the one who believes the Good News and is willing to repent of his sins and trust Jesus as Savior and Lord, salvation is freely given.

Are you ready to forsake your sins and surrender completely to the Lordship of Jesus Christ? Please do not come to Jesus seeking happiness, peace, or some purpose-filled life. Come to Jesus seeking forgiveness of your sins. Come to Him because He alone can deliver you from the judgment that must come to anyone who dies without Him.

Friend, if you come to Christ, please do not expect that your life will all of the sudden be wonderful and without problems. Jesus did not promise anyone this. To the contrary, Jesus promised those who follow Him that they would face trials, persecutions, and be hated by some – maybe even by one’s own family. No, Jesus does not promise an easy life, financial prosperity, or physical healing (contrary to what some preachers would have you believe). He does promise you, though, the greatest gift of all: forgiveness of sins and eternal life. When the inevitable trials of life do come, He will grant His sufficient grace and strength made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). He will grant His peace that surpasses all human understanding (Philippians 4:6-7). This peace and strength comes from knowing that we are forgiven of our sins and that our eternity is secure.

If you have read all of this and are being convicted by the Holy Spirit of God that you need to surrender to Jesus Christ and trust Him as Savior and Lord, I would invite you to do that now. Go to Jesus and ask Him to forgive you and save you. He stands ready to receive you unto Himself and wash your scarlet sins white as snow. If you have made this decision, please write and share with me your new life in Christ. It will be my joy to send you some material to help you in your new walk with Him and to pray for you as my new brother or sister in Christ.

I would encourage you to begin reading your Bible and praying daily. Seek and join a Bible-believing and teaching church. As you grow in your relationship with Jesus, share the Good News with others. May God richly bless and use you for His glory.

I just cannot thank you enough for being faithful to what God has called you to do.  I pray for your travels and for the others that attend your seminar.  You have opened many eyes, and confirmed my own discernment toward these WoF preachers.  I know we are still few, but yet at the same time we are many. God Bless you and your ministry and once again mine and Jennifer’s prayers are with you.  We will be showing your DVD to Jennifer’s dad.  Please keep us in prayer as we minister to those who are tied up in these false teachings.

In God’s Love

Brother Justin,

I came across your name on the Iron Sharpens Iron radio show which  directed me to your web site.   I took the 35 minutes and watched  your video on the Word of Faith movement, I must tell you that God   has moved you in a direction that is needed more now than I think  any time in the past with regards to this damning heresy.

My father has been in this movement for over 20 years, and is a graduate of Rhema Bible Training Center in Tulsa.   He moved my mother from  southern California where I grew up to Tulsa to attend the school.  I have had numerous conversations with him about some of the teachings and I couldn’t believe what I was hearing.  I grew up in an SBC church in San Diego (1st baptist church of Pacific Beach), a church that we all had attended until I left for the Navy back in the late 80s, so to hear what I was hearing was quite a shock.  I have tried numerous times to express to him the heresy that he is part of but as you know, he would not allow any negative talk (and the list goes on and on).  I have him listed on my personal prayer list along with everyone else who has been sucked into this lie.

My grandmother died believing this lie, my only hope is that, before her death she came to know the truth.  I wanted to let you know that I will be praying for you and your ministry, the WOFM needs to be exposed for what it is.

My blessings to you brother as you continue to fight in the spiritual trenches

In His Name,
Rev. Toby Holland

Hello brother Justin,

I pray this finds you doing well. My husband and I LOVE you and your ministry, and I feel led to share something with you. There are some apologetics ministries who do and teach the same thing that you do regarding the word of faith movement. These ministries are largely ignored (I believe) because they sound judgmental to the hearer regardless that they are right biblically.

God has graced you with a meek spirit and when you teach the truth, it is obviously from a place of love. You and your message will penetrate the walls of the word of faith churches and their followers because of the way you deliver the message (in addition to it being the truth.) What you say comes from a place of love in Christ and if people throw criticism your way, they have obviously ignored your heart motive. I praise God for your ministry. I watch the videos at least once a week so I can get everything in my spirit and go forth proclaiming the truth in love. As someone who came out of the word of faith movement a year ago, I continually need to read and hear the truth. Keep doing what you are doing!

Be Blessed,

Skye Steele

Dear Justin,

You may have very little time to read my email as I am sure your ministry keeps you more than busy! However, I hope that you can find a minute to read these lines as I just want to send you feedback as well as warm wishes from this part of the world.

Your DVD seminar “A call for Discernment” has impacted my life greatly. We have just spent the last few weeks in our little bible study going through it – it was uplifting! (So that you know our leader has been to your seminars J)Uplifting, perhaps an odd word to use in this case but I say uplifting as it shocked me at first but then left me with a great sense of encouragement. Why? Because there are Christians and Christian leaders out there that are fighting to spread the truth and only the truth of what Gods word stands for…..something we need so desperately in this day and age! And I was yet again privileged enough to receive such sound teaching. Uplifting also because I have often felt like a “spiritual failure”, wondering why others seem to have such a high flying Christian life, filled with blessings and gifts  while I battle my little wars everyday and doubt if I am pleasing God enough…..WRONG. I am in a church and bible study that teaches sound biblical truth – I stumble along an unwavering path, narrow and often uncomfortably rocky, but yet so scenic and beautiful to travel………and I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else J Jesus never said it was going to be easy……

I felt immensely privileged to get to “know you” and your work through this DVD and to be fortunate to be touched by your teaching. Although I have known the Lord since I was 8 years old and believed that I could discern relatively well, this DVD gave me a wakeup call regardless and it pushed me to know in my very heart of hearts that we are NEVER to compromise on his word in even the slightest way!

I will be ordering a set for myself as I have a few friends that could be greatly blessed by your teaching and warnings. I hope the ordering via the website works half way across the world J So I close just to say a huge thank you – may our Lord God bless you in a very special way for what you are doing. May he keep you safe and well until we perhaps meet one day…..latest in heaven J

With best wishes and warm regards in Christ our only Lord and Savior,

Hello, Justin,

You were at First Baptist Anderson, AL this past week, and I wanted to let you know how very much my husband and I enjoyed your services. We were able to make all of them except the last night (which we were sad to miss!). It was indeed a breath of fresh air to hear you, and you seem to have a very sweet and humble spirit, and it is obvious that the Holy Spirit is leading you. Thank you for being willing to come to our church.

I just wanted to make a reference to something you said one night that really meant a lot to me. I was saved at age 12. I had no doubt that I was a sinner, that I needed a Savior and that that was Jesus. I asked Jesus to save me, and to take me as one of his own. There was no doubt in my mind that I was a Christian from that time on. Years later, I can remember it always sort of bothered me that I never had said a line for line “sinner’s prayer”. It’s so ingrained into the Baptist mind that you “have” to say the sinner’s prayer, that I even wondered if I had “messed up” by not saying it. I never could come up with a line for line prayer of sorts in the Bible, but it still bothered me. I mean, we have literature printed with the sinner’s prayer on it for crying out loud. Anyway, it blessed my heart and even made me smile when you stated one night that there is no sinner’s prayer in the Bible, and that it’s not “required” articulation for salvation. I knew that in my heart, but it was so good to hear it coming from a “preacher”. Thanks, Justin.

God bless you and your ministry.

Sincerely,

Misty Robertson

Dear Mr. Peters,

I watched the show Wretched for the first time this evening and I received such a blessing watching you.  I would often watch these preachers on tv and I knew in my spirit that there was something wrong.  All they seemed to say was send me your money and God will heal you or provide you with a financial windfall.  Ya know, my grandmother had a saying (actually she had a lot of them) If it sounds too good to be true it probably is.

I have personally been told that I was not saved because I had not spoken in tongues.  I was a brand new Christian and, not knowing any better, it crushed me.  Thank God He brought someone into my life to show me the truth.

The Devil’s been after me for many years.  I was told I must have had unconfessed sin because I got breast cancer.  I know you understand when I say that God Blessed me with breast cancer.  He used me in such an amazing and powerful way during that time, let me say this, I don’t think I’ve ever felt closer to God than I did during that time.

I don’t know why God had me watch this evening, nor do I know why He had me share this with you.  I just know I couldn’t go to bed without writing to you.

May God continue to bless you and your ministry.  Thank you for all you do.

Hi Justin,

I just wanted to write and say again how very much Roger and I appreciated your seminar.  We believe your ministry and the message you have is vitally important.  We look forward to becoming regular supporters, not only financially, but with our prayers and encouragement – and in any other ways you might need.

I can’t explain it, other than the Holy Spirit’s work, but we were very moved by…well…everything about you.  God has gifted you with a gentle spirit, yet you speak with such biblical authority, and you you cause people to hear what you’re saying.  As I said, it’s rather difficult to explain.

It was quite an honor and blessing to meet you and have the chance to talk with you.  Perhaps the next time you’re in the DFW area, we can have that lunch (or dinner) together.  Our home is always open.

We hope you benefit from the Dave Busby videos – that he will minister to you, even as you pour yourself out in ministering to others.

May God continue to bless you, and may He protect you as you travel to OK and then on to CA.  You are in our prayers.  Keep in touch!

In Him,

Gayla & Roger

Blessing Pastor Justin

I hope all is well you and that you’re having a blessed Christmas and will continue with a God filled New Year. My motive for this email is inform you that we have received your Thesis and DVD set after placing our order, thank you (My wife actually ordered it). My wife and I have completely consumed the entire teaching material upon its arrival. It has helped me personally a great deal Pastor, specifically to articulate better what I have been feeling for sometime about the current church my family and I attend for the past 2 years. I’ve had trouble putting my thumb on it until my wife and I had a heart to heart discussion this past summer about things not just lining up with the scriptures, Pastor I’m no bible guru (though my wife is) but I noted that some fundamental biblical thresholds where exceeded by way of teaching in my church which raised a alarm in me. My wife was already uneasy, thus after speaking we agreed its time to be extremely diligent on what is said from the front of the church. Also to take lots of notes and examine everything by the light of the scriptures.

My wife and I quickly found ourselves unpopular after challenging (in Gods Love and in private) a bible teacher on the subject of Healing. The teaching was “Its Gods will for you to be in perfect health” thus we gave an inventory of biblical example on how this is not the case.

Also after my wife’s teaching on basic bible doctrines and apologetics, she taught that the Holy Spirit and its gifts are for everyone and not just a select few.  This basically goes against the grain of those who teach special revelation for a select few.

So thanks again for the material and I would ask that we stay pray fully in contact with each other, I’m very interested in your Ministry so add me to you mailing list. Pray for my family and me as we are obviously seeking another church to call home.

Hi Justin,

It’s so good to hear from you, those who were at your conference still talk about it and others are using your videos to reach out to their friends and family members. In fact, I know of one family’s son who is getting together with his in-laws, who are steeped in Word of Faith teaching – in fact the mother has terminal cancer – to show your video to them, their prayer is that this will free them from the false hope that God is obligated to heal her and to get her to know that whatever happens she is still in God’s hands and He is right there with her.

Hello Mr. Peters,

I had the great pleasure and the great blessing of being among the attendees at your “A Call For Discernment Seminar” at Twin City Fellowship this last weekend. Oh I praise God our Father and our Lord Jesus for the love burden that He has so graciously given you- a passion-that “His name will be great among the nations” this in your defense of His Holy Name, in the defense of the faith, in presenting the pure Gospel of God, for His glory, for the good of all men and for your joy.

The facts in your presentation, exposing this “movement”  for what the Lord calls it from His Word, heresy, “another” gospel, doctrine of demons, false prophets, etc. I thank the Lord, I thank you!! It was biblical, fair, honest and true. I see also that if it not be for His Spirit, the mind of Christ, His word, His Beloved, one could easily become entangled in their message,  the things of the world, the passing pleasures, it’s appeal to the carnal flesh is very attractive. Thank you for equpping us from Scripture, to give a defense, as well as exposing these deceptions.

The love, gentleness, humility and respect that you display in exposing the great heresies of  these teachings that would have a price tag put on the wonderfully magnificent person and work of  the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for temporal and mere earthly gain, this opposed to the Great Treasure which is Christ Himself.

Personally-much of my professing Christian family is deceived into this “another” Gospel.

If you can, please Sir pray that it please the Lord, to have mercy and compassion on my family and all blinded by satan, bound under the deception, on these “preachers” who would trample under foot the blood of Jesus- to raise them from the dead -alive, grant them repentance, faith, forgiveness in the shed blood of His Son Jesus Christ for His glory and praise, for the salvation of their dear precious souls. As well, keep me faithful to our Lord’s word, who loved me and gave Himself for me…

Sir may the Lord as we continue to press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called us…continue to be kept humble, kept faithful to His word, continue to draw near to the throne of grace, growing in faith, truth and love…that we all continue to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ, being transformed in our hearts and minds, to be conformed to the image of the likeness of our dear Savior-Jesus Christ to whom belongs all things.

Thank You!!

Soli Deo Gloria,
Marquis

Pastor Justin,

I spoke to you briefly after the end of the seminar today at Twin City Fellowship but I also want you to have in print what I relayed to you about your presentation.

I went to the seminar fully expecting another expose’ on the ministers of the Word of Faith movement.  It was that and so very much more.  You taught us where all the scriptures are that all of the WOF ministers are violating or misusing.  You kept our full attention with your loving and gentle method of presentation.  I could personally see that you are a man that truly loves our Lord Jesus Christ and are willing to do your part in defending him.  You blessed me with your presence and your presentation.  I can’t wait for my wife to see your DVD and hopefully to pass it on to her daughter who is deeply associated with a WOF church in El Paso, Texas (Abundant Faith Living Center, pastored by Charles Nieman).  This will probably create a chasm between me and her daughter but my desire for the truth about Jesus Christ and her salvation are far more important the the division that will be caused. (or maybe there won’t be a division!)

Another point that impacted me from your presentation was your comment about your crutches and how you won’t need them or even think about them when you get to Heaven.  There will be much more important things to be considering, Jesus Christ and worshipping and praising him.  I always hear people questioning whether there will be dogs in heaven, will I see my loved one there, etc.  I have no concern about that.  I can only hope to be focusing on Him as everybody that is there should be as well.

Again, I thank you for bringing us your very critical seminar.  May God continue to bless you and keep you working your ministry.

Respectfully,

Samuel P. Madrid

Hello Justin,

I have just watched some of your seminar on the Word of Faith movement. It was an extract, so I’m not sure what it was called. (We don’t get much good teaching here in the UK). I have to say, your work is an inspiration to me and my family. We don’t go to church because they kicked us out (for teaching the bible), so we use American preachers as out priest at home.

You are one of the many brilliant testimonies of GOD’s work. I, myself was born with a cleft lip and pallet and have been in hospital more times than I have had hot dinners! Because of this I too was saved at an early age, 1994 at 5 years old. Three years ago I had a cardiac arrest and nearly died in my tenth and final operation. It made me realize that we can never always know what GOD is doing in our lives, and can take life at any moment he chooses. It is so lovely to see someone with such difficulties, marching out into the world proclaiming the Gospel. Our little ‘underground church’ is so thankful for your teachings. You are truly a man blessed by GOD, you have so much at wisdom at such a young age!

Can I ask, are you planning to come to the UK? This country is in such need of the Gospel. The only preaching’s on TV are that of Benny Hinn and the Copelands (ergh!). However, once a month, Bob Mitchell talks (not sure if you have heard of him, he is an end times person, and does it in his spare time). The only way us Brits can feast on Bible food, is by streaming and listening wherever possible on the internet.

Thank you for all your work, brother in CHRIST. God bless x

Kelly Smith

Dear Justin Peters,

I would first like to thank Jesus Christ for your life and ministry. In this age of deception your DVD’s and seminar’s in the UK and America have been a blessing not only to my self but thousands of other believers. I pray and hope that you continue with your ministry and would like to personally thank you for what Jesus has achieved through you. I was caught up in the wealth/heath gospel movement and only through God’s grace did I come to realise that it was false and that I was heading for Hell. It is bible teachers like you who made me realise the error of the movement and turn towards the true gospel.

Mr Peters I firmly believe that your ministry is needed most in Africa and other 3rd world countries where the world faith movement is destroying the body of Christ. I come from Kenya and still have links there although I currently reside in the UK and have personally witnessed how multiples of people have fallen prey to the blatant lies of this movement.

Its not going to be easy and you will most certainly face alot of opposition but if there is anyway I can help, please do not hesitate to contact me.

May the Lord our God Bless you and Keep you

Wainaina Junghae

Hello Mr Peters

My name is Janine and I am christian living in East London, South Africa. My family and I recently watched your seminar on a call for discernment and were instantly touched. You see, we were born as Catholics (some of my family members are still Catholics) and also spent some time visiting and being involved in word of faith churches. About 2 years ago a dear relative of mine lost his life to cancer. It was unexpected as he was healthy and only 47years of age. However, about 3 years before he died he fell in love with Jesus and all he wanted was his family to embrace the truth. He read the word day and night and tried to share the word at every opportunity he had. But our ears wouldnt listen, our hearts wouldnt accept. During the time since his passing some of us have had the opportunity to finally learn the truth for the first time. You might find that strange as I initially mentioned we were born into Christianity. After my uncles passing we soon realised that we have to start unlearning many of doctrines previously accepted. We went from the Catholic Church that didnt really encourage us to read God’s word to charismatic churches with their own set of teachings. The younger folk in the family like myself found the services far too monotonous and boring. The charismatic churches offered “excitement” but also alot of false teachings.

I am a believer in God’s perfect timing and for me watching the seminar both confirmed and re-inforced the truth even more. I currently dont attend church regularly as I am still finding a church where I fit in. I have labelled myself as a Christian for many years but only recently have I discovered the power of God’s word – it’s simple you have to read the bible everyday to strengthen your relationship with God. Also, how else does one get to know God?

East London is small city along the east coast of South Africa. TBN is also broadcasted here. Benny Hinn and co have visited EL. I personally havent been to any crusades although some of family members have been. There was a huge revival here last year hosted by the River Ministeries based in EL. Many word of faith preachers based overseas were involved in this revival. I think people in South Africa will most definitely benefit from your seminars. I find it shocking and scary that there are several false preachers with thousands of followers.

I pray that the Lord may bless you and your ministry as you continue to share the REAL TRUTH with God’s people. Those who know the truth need to share it. I am beginning to wander how many in this world do know the truth and have embraced it, especially in view of what is happening at the moment.

God bless you and your ministry.

Kind Regards

Janine Munsamy and family

Reformed Baptist Indonesia – February 2 at 8:48pm

Hallo Mr.Justin Peters,on behalf on my congregation I would like to thank you for your generousity and kindness for giving us dvd teaching materials.Im sure if it based on the biblical teaching it must be a help for us very much, because we are now in Indonesia are facing persecution and challenge from other faith (moslem )and our goverment. From the internal christian circle,Indonesia Christian face a rise of prosperity theology, word of faith movement, charismatic movement, etc. that confused our plain and simple christian people. We hope your teaching from the dvd source would would give our people a clarity of mind and a firm fondation about biblical and baptistic doctrine to unmasking the lie of the false teaching..We have also pray for you and your ministry..God bless you ! Thank you!

Hi Justin or whoever is reading this.

I’m writing to share my joy in the Lord. I watched the preview “A call for discernment” on youtube in December and decided to make Bulgarian subtitles for it. Today the first 10-minute part has become my most watched video on Bulgaria’s biggest Christian video sharing website – http://www.bibliata.tv. The website is generally dominated by prosperity and word of faith preachers.

The videos are being discussed on Christian message boards; people are emailing links back and forth and giving away DVDs with them. For a small country like mine, where almost every church teaches prosperity, it’s a breakthrough.

If there is a DVD with the full seminar, I’d like to make more videos with subs and share them with people for free.

Blessings,

Lora

Hello Justin, I was hoping I would find you on here, I just wanted to say thank you so much for the work you do. I watched a programme of yours a few days ago and was greatly blessed. Your strength and faith greatly encouraged me in my own journey with the Lord. So thank you for following the Lords calling on your life you truely are making a difference to those of us who have not received healing and are left thinking it is our lack of faith, or relationship with our Lord and Saviour.

May God Bless you and keep you

False teachers are proud, they are concerned for their own popularity.

1. False teachers are proud.  They are concerned for their own popularity.  They are concerned for their own fame.  They are concerned for their own notoriety.  They are concerned for their own prestige.  They’re concerned to see themselves and hear themselves in the public eye.  They want large crowds, as it were, to bow down in great homage to them.  They’re characterized by pride and they will do anything to gain the ground they need to gain for the welfare of their own personal ego, including any amount of compromise necessary.

2. Secondly, false teachers are characterized by selfishness.  They tend to be self-centered.  They are concerned for their own comfort.  They are concerned for their own popularity.  They are concerned for their own prosperity.  In the end, it’s all about money, fame, and prestige and notoriety equals an increased bank account.  They are in it for the money and the personal material benefits that they can gain as they endeavor to feed their selfish desires.

3. Thirdly, They are characterized by deception.  They usually can weave a very sophisticated web of deception in their teaching because they tend to be articulate, if they’re going to be successful, and they endeavor to engage other people to aid them in their deceitful enterprise which gives it the, sort of, façade of credibility.

4. They’re not only proud and selfish and deceptive, but [fourthly] they’re irreverent.  If there’s anything that sort of dominates in my thinking about false teachers, it is their irreverence.  They have absolutely no regard for God.  The fact that they would go against God, that they would elevate themselves the way they do, that they would pervert the truth indicates their utter irreverence.  They have little, if any, regard for God, His Word, His truth, His glory, His honor…

5. Finally, they are spiritually destructive.  They seek to use people; they seek to abuse people.  They seek to lead people into error, which destroys them—into sin, which pollutes them.

So, as you look at false teachers with regard to the world, they are proud and they seek fame and popularity.  With regard to themselves, they are self-centered, selfish, self-aggrandizing, self-gratifying.  With regard to the nature of their ministry, they are dishonest and deceptive and lack integrity.  With regard to God, they are utterly irreverent; in fact, they are blasphemous.  And, with regard to the people that they influence, they are spiritually destructive. So, their relationship to the world, their relationship to the ministry, their relationship to themselves, their relationship to God, their relationship to their people all reflects the deviation of their hearts.  John F. MacArthur Jr., Concerns of a True Pastor: Humility and Selflessness, 1998

Today’s preachers along with some who have passed on whose ministry or teachings continue, who are either teaching a false doctrine or are using the Doctrine of our Lord Jesus Christ for the benefit of their own selfishness and gain. Some of these preachers lay claim that Jesus is the only way to Heaven (and they would be right), but at the same time, they preach that personal gain is the main message.  There are many different activities out there by some of these people and we would suggest that you study our Articles Page to discover some of what is going on in today’s Churches. – FWM
